How And Why To Improve Your Relevance Score On Facebook

If your business is on social media (and it should be!) it's important to know your Facebook relevance score and how to improve it.

The relevance score is a metric that shows how well your Facebook ads are resonating with your target audience on a scale of 1 to 10. A score of 1 means your ad is less relevant compared to other ads targeting the same audience, and 10 means your ad is very relevant.

Your relevance score is very important because a higher score lowers the cost of advertising on Facebook. You want to pay less and reach more people, right?

Are your ads receiving a low relevance score? If so, you need to improve them to save money and reach the right people.

So how do you improve your score?

Know your target audience well and target a specific audience.

Before you can target the correct people, you need to know who exactly you want your ads to reach. Do audience research or create buyer personas. This will help you get the demographic information, the problems and pain points, and the customer feedback of the people you intend to target.

Use Facebook's Insights to see the demographics who have interacted with your ads. Use this information to create buyer personas and decide who you should target. Look for a demographic that's more likely to interact with your posts.

Split test your ads.

Split testing is a good way to improve your relevance score, and it's simple. Split testing is testing versions of the same ad to see which version performs better. Show the same ad to two different audiences to see which audience responds well. Or you can show two different ads to the same audience and see which performs better with your target audience.

Choose the best-performing ad. However, after some time, your ad's relevance score may decrease as the audience tires of seeing the same ad. When this happens, refresh the ad. Change the image or do another round of split testing and see what resonates well with your target audience.

Use high-quality, relevant ad copy and images.

This is self-explanatory. You'll get more clicks, likes, and shares if your ad is well-designed. Use images relevant to your business and what your ad is trying to achieve. Also, make sure you use high-quality images. Blurry photos will not improve your relevance score! Also, use clear and concise text.

Make sure all your calls to actions are easy to understand. Let your audience know what they're supposed to do.

Facebook wants you to succeed using their advertising platform. This just makes sense. If you achieve your business goals while spending money on Facebook advertising, you're likely to use that marketing practice again in the future. How to Choose the Right Traffic Source

If you knew that articles were where you were going to be able to get all of your traction... Or guest blogging was where you were going to get all your traction... Or Google+, or Facebook was where you were going to get all of your traction... Then you could take what I just shared with you and you could say, "Okay, I'll just go out and I will become an expert at that one source of traffic."

However, there's a preliminary stage that has to happen. You've got to figure out which one of these is going to work better for you. In the process of figuring out which one is better for you, you might try multiple sources of traffic.

You'll notice I talked about this second, not first. That's because I wanted you to hear what I just said about specialization first, before I talked about trying out the different traffic sources. Because, if you're not careful you'll come away from what I'm getting ready to say, and say "Okay, well they said go out and try 10 different traffic sources."

Then they don't hear the part where I say "for a limited time period."

They try 10 different traffic sources, 10 years later they're still wallowing in 10 different traffic sources, and they've never become an expert. So they're not generating very much traffic.

What I recommend that you do is: choose any, some, or all of these traffic sources that you wish. And you set up a tracking page for every one of these.

For example, if you write an article that goes to EzineArticles, you send them to a unique squeeze page, that has a unique webform code on it, so you know exactly how many subscribers are being generated every single month from those articles.

You know exactly how many subscribers are generated every month from guest blogging.

You know exactly how many subscribers are generated from LinkedIn, from Facebook, from your affiliate program, from anywhere else.

Then you'll combine that with a time sheet. Call it a traffic time sheet. Every time you sit down to work on traffic, you log into your traffic time sheet. You can do this in an Excel spreadsheet. You can do this with pencil and paper.

Here's how to use it:

If you work on articles for 15 minutes you write down "Articles - 15 minutes."

Let's say, for example, that it's April, so you have an April spreadsheet. And it says, "Articles - 15 minutes. LinkedIn - 30 minutes." Then you spend another 20 minutes in Articles, so you need to update Articles to 35 minutes.

At the end of the month you'll be able to see at a glance that you spent 200 minutes on articles. You spent 100 minutes on guest blogging. You spent 75 minutes in LinkedIn. You spent 95 minutes in Facebook. So on, and so on.

Next you're going to look at how many subscribers you generated from each one of those traffic sources. Do the math! For example:

You spent 75 minutes on Facebook and you got 4 subscribers. That's 1 subscriber every 18.5 minutes or so. For articles you get 10 subscribers for 200 minutes of work, that's 1 subscriber per 20 minutes of work. And at the end of the month, you'll be able to say "Okay, from one traffic source I get a subscriber for every 10 minutes of work. From one traffic source I get a subscriber from 20 minutes of work. From another traffic source it takes me 30 minutes of work."

What does this mean?

It means if you're going to continue to do the work in the future, you probably want to get subscribers that are coming in from sources that don't take you as long to get. Or, what it means is, if you hire somebody to do your work for you, you know what to have them do to be the most cost-effective. Let's say you hire somebody for 10 hours a week to do work for you. If you're going to pay them for 10 hours of work a week, you want them on the traffic source that will allow them to generate the most number of subscribers for you as fast as possible.

The only way you will know is with your spreadsheet.

Using Social Bookmarking To Promote Start-Up Businesses

What Social Media Engagement Achieves For Business

Social media in essence is in relation to engagement through sharing, which for business means targeting your product range, your articles, or your services at engaging a potential customer or client base. Collectively, products, services and articles are known as content, and it is through offering quality content that success through your channels can be achieved.

Social marketing has around 900 million users globally, and covers every topic range you can think of. As well as engaging a potential customer and client base or readership, social media is also relevant to search engine optimization.

Social media is a unique format as it helps you promote your content on to your audience, and in turn it generates traffic via people sharing your content with others, and through SEO. Perhaps more importantly than this, however, social media with its online reviews helps a business build trust, and nearly every brand you can think of uses social media for this reason.

Think of this as: you come across two companies offering the same services; one has 250 Facebook likes, the other 43 - which one would you opt for? So regardless of whether you're an online retailer, an affiliate marketer, offer a service such as tuition, or run a news site, social media can assist you build your business online. Google estimates that by 2015, UK consumers will have purchased £40bn of products and services online.

Popular Social Media Sites And Their Uses

Getting to get grips with the nuances of social media's role in promoting your business can cause more than its fair share connected with headaches. Here is a list of the most popular social media sites and their uses:

Facebook is predominately for sharing. This can be products, articles, or services. In a nutshell, it's for sharing your content with as many people as possible.

Twitter is about sharing news on any subject. Don't let the word news make you feel it not apply for products. New product launches, new stock ready to be sold - Twitter is good for all of this.

Google+ is in part a combination of the two and has become important for search engine optimization if nothing else.

Blogging is a great way to impart news and expertise on your readership, customer and client base, or followers. It offers a good way to attract visitors on your site via search engines.

YouTube is about showcasing videos to a wide audience. It is being utilized by businesses all the time to sell products and services. As YouTube is owned by The search engines, videos tend to feature prominently on search engine results. You can also utilize the YouTube ads to make a secondary income stream.

Pinter est and other bookmarking sites are very good at showcasing visual products. If your business is selling something online, albeit a product or service, ensure you are posting on Pinter est and as many bookmarking sites you could find.

Social Media And Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Good positioning on search engines is about unique quality content that is well shared and well linked to from other websites. By sharing your content on social sites, the more chance there is of people liking it on Facebook, re tweeting with Twitter, or sharing the pin on Pinter est. Links are important for good SEO and posting your content on social sites provides a link from the social site to yours, and in every case this can be targeted to a specific web page.

By web page I mean a specific solution, service, or article. This also ensures Google indexes the web page. That is to say, it adds it to its database, ensuring it can be found on search engines.

Finding The Best Social Media Sites For Your Business

To find the best social sites suited to your business, think as to what your business is trying to do. If your business sells products or services, then use social sites that showcase pictures and videos to sell the product. YouTube, Pinter est, Delicious and Instagram are all really good for showcasing products.

If you're in the selling game, make videos of your products, take good professional photos and find them on these sites, and ensure you link the pictures and videos directly to the content on your site. If you sell on eBay or an affiliate seller, try to link directly to the product page where a potential customer can buy it. Also, put the products on your Facebook or my space page, Google+ page, and Twitter. For service providers, a slightly different spin on social media promotion is needed as, more often than not, a service provider will sit in the middle of visual social media, and text-based social sites.

This also applies to affiliate marketers. If you can, represent your services that has a picture or icon, and publish the picture or icon on the visual sites. Use videos to showcase your services - if you can get testimonials from clients, well, that's gold dust. Publish regularly on your blog and tweet the articles, together with insights into the industry. This engagement will help build trust with all your existing clients, showcase your skills, and help you to be found by people wishing to become new clients.

Social Media Advertising

If you have the budget for it, Facebook offers advertising on a click-through basis like Google Ad Sense, or it can be used to earn likes. It is often in instances of experimentation. For affiliate marketing revenue streams, click-through will expose the user to your revenue stream, while a like will ensure every time an article or new product is published they'll be informed. It's trial and error and seems to work well for some businesses, but others have lost faith from it.

Saving Time

By now, you have probably guessed that updating social sites, especially if you publish a lot of daily content, is hard work. Larger businesses employ people to keep on top of it, something many start-up business don't have the budget or the time for. It is possible to help automate your social accounts updating using automatic syndication sites.

A Social Media Strategy

Step 1: Create a Facebook Page, Twitter account and Google+ Page For Business

These have their uses regardless of the type of business, and all help considerably with SEO. Ensure you create business pages on Facebook in addition to Google+. This keeps your personal details and indeed social media life hidden from your customers or clients, and it offers better options to promote a business.

Step 2: Identify Social Media Sites That Are The Most Important To Your Business

If your site sells products, make a list of all the online bookmarking and video sites you could find and create accounts. Ensure you use Pinter est and YouTube. If your business is for services, information, or is for an affiliate marketing revenue stream, you want to spread the word in as many ways as possible. Use blogging sites such as Tumble, Blogger and WordPress. org to syndicate your sites and services, and try to create news content if you provide services to show your expertise in your field.

Step 3: Use Social Media Tools Such As 'If This Then That'

'If this then that' or ifttt.com automatically updates your social accounts. This is easy to establish and works by syndicating the information across a host of social sites automatically as soon as one site is updated. This, as you can imagine, saves a lot of time. Be cautions, however, and ensure social sites suited to the business, such as bookmarking sites for online retailers, appear just as you want them to be found.

Automatic syndication has limitations and often links and pictures do not appear as you would like them to. Nonetheless, and especially for syndicating blog posts via an RSS feed, it is a very good time-saver for promoting your business via social media. Not all social media can be syndicated in this way, but the sites that committer syndicates to are well worth creating accounts on to promote your business. The more social media sites you post on, the better.

Step 4: Use #hashtags

Whenever you post your content, ensure you use appropriate #hashtags. This will help users find your content when they search for it. So if I'm selling tyres on eBay, #tyres, #cartyres, #car, #treys is good, and for sports news, #sports news, #football #cricket, and so on is good.

Step 5: Once It Starts

Once your content starts hitting the web 2. 0 world, monitor your accounts for feedback. Concentrate on the sites you've identified as important to your business and respond to questions and comments. When responding, try to be helpful and non-abusive, even if the commentator is not pleasant. Professionalism goes along way.

Step 6: Participation

Twitter and Google+ show trending topics and these include popular subjects people are discussing. It is worth performing the odd Twitter search to see what people are talking about in relation to your business, and making a contribution to the discussion. This is a good way to make connections and hopefully achieve more success.

Step 7: Monitoring Success

Monitoring success has confirmed to be quite difficult for social media. Unlike SEO results, which can be measured on click-through and content engagement, it is not so simple on social sites for a variety of reasons. You may feel if you provide news that 10 comments on one story is a good sign of success, while 100 likes of a product video on YouTube with no obvious link to sales most likely are not immediately obvious as positive.

It is worth remembering, however, that though people may not directly access your main site via social sites, it may prompt them to return later. Always keep in mind that social media is for sharing content, so any like, comment or re tweet is positive.

Negative Effects of Social Media

Alexander Pope said "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." it goes perfectly with the amateur usage of social media especially in the 21st century. We take social media for granted and do whatever we want which comes biting back later.

Social media has brought about new opportunities and avenues for the world to connect at large. With social media, the world has become a smaller place. On one hand, it is a great invention, and a lot can be done to better our lifestyles. But if we look at it with thousands of immature users it is becoming a somewhat scary place to live in.

There is a reason why most parents or older siblings try to keep the young ones away from social media handles these days. From being a platform to connect or share worldviews it has narrowed down to bring a platform to boost and troll. That is sad given that we can do so much with social media, it is sad to see how low to stoop.

Today kids of ages 10 have the access and accounts on social handles; it can turn into over addiction and an escape to a fantasy world. This fantasy world that we create behind the 15-inch laptop screen might be a scary affair. The fit models with perfect bodies, exotic travel locations, and photo-perfect moments most often don't match with the lives we lead on a daily basis. This disconnect might want us to aspire for more which might not be possible in reality and can affect our mental health.

The thrust for more followers or likes has a dangerous effect on our mental health. You start feeling anxious, a lack of identity, less sleep causing insomnia, a negative body image can be some of the significant issues that a social media addict might, face. You make yourself as desirable as the models you see around you, you keep adding filters and edit your pictures to look 'perfect, and your sense of self is lost. You want to become someone you are not. You start hating yourself for not having the ideal body, the perfect shape, so on and so forth.

Researchers across the globe have found that the "fear of missing out" created across all popular social feeds can substantially lower self-esteem and fuel issues like anxiety and depression among individuals.

Cyberbullying is also heavily linked to the constant need to prove oneself better than the others on social media.

On a large scale, not only teenagers but people nowadays take the social platform too literally and believe in a lot of fake news of hoax that is being circulated just for publicity purposes. People today are falling for dangerous trends that they see on social media or think it is cool to be a part of. The trend of being a part of a social group is what is causing more harm than good.

You have to understand you being social has nothing to do with the number of friends or followers you have on social media. It can all be a farce, just by seeing another peer having many followers you cannot be jealous and want that life. Don't let social media be a drug that is so addictive that you cannot live without.

All of these leads to identify threats that take place due to the sharing of too much personal information on the net unnecessarily. You can also see a rise in hate speech and social disgust across social media accounts which is completely uncalled for. The most disgusting thing that is coming up a lot in the 21st century is cyberstalking. It can be too dangerous and is even taking lives. Immature usage of social platform has to stop and stop now.

After using social media handles many people decide to keep themselves away from it as there is no or very minimal privacy with the extensive use of social platforms. If not handled sensibly your life becomes a window to the world. A subject of discussion.

We as a world lack smart users. We either take everything for granted, or we take things too literally. Having said all of this it does not mean that social media is all that bad with only negatives. Of course, not, there are plenty of benefits of social media. It keeps us connected across vast distances, let's us find our school buddies and long lost colleagues. If your motive is to stay connect or share an opinion about life and other stuff but if social site is your source of news or emotional upliftment it is undoubtedly a bad idea.

Engage People On Social Media By Asking Questions

As I've said repeatedly, "It's called social media for a reason." How do you gain traction with people on social media? Not by telling them things, but by asking them questions.

When you make a post, go ahead and finish it with an open-ended question, something like "What do you think about the topic? Post your thoughts below." BTW, and open-ended question is one that doesn't automatically elicit a short, one or two word answer like "Yes" or "No," "red" or "blue." It asks people to express their inner views on a subject, to answer expansively.

Of course, the other part of the social media equation is interacting on other people's posts. In order for you to be seen, you need to do more than write your own posts. Of course, other people are asking questions on their social media posts. Some of them are asking closed questions, to be sure. "Am I right - yes or no?" A few people will be asking open-ended questions. Either way, when you reply, your voice is added to the conversation. More importantly, your on-line name or handle is added to the stream of information flowing past the eyeballs of others.

If you look for advice on marketing, a metric crap-ton of people will shout a single-word piece of advice at you - "Content!" What they mean is that you should be creating unique information to put in front of others to grab their attention.

But here's a bit of content the so-called experts tend to overlook: asking your own questions on other people's social media posts.

Let's say, someone makes a post about carpet cleaning. Yes, I use that industry in a lot of examples. So let's say a person posts that you should steam clean your carpets at least every six months. Go ahead and ask your own question! Like with your own posts, open-ended is best. "In addition to the 6-month cleanings, should I also clean before a holiday gathering?" You could switch that to a closed-ended question: "Which is best, cleaning before or after a holiday gathering?"

If you can't think of a relevant question, it's okay to ask for examples and clarification. I can guarantee there are plenty of other folks out there who would like additional examples or a different explanation. "Is there a different schedule you'd recommend for a carpet in the reception area of a business?" "Can you give an example of a hotel lobby carpet cleaning process?"

Asking relevant questions, ones that dig deeper into the subject of the post, are often nearly as good as - and sometimes better than - the original informational posts, and will get your name out there as someone who knows what they're talking about.

This may prove counterproductive and your followers may lose interest in your offers. What you need to do is make use of social media to get in touch with your customers and offer useful information. By doing so, you can build a loyal audience that can become your customers.

4. Engage with your audience

You don't just need to keep updating your social media pages, it won't work. What you need to do is keep in touch with your audience and keep them engaged. What matters is their satisfaction.

If you engage your audience, you can find out more about the problems that they are facing. Then, you can work harder to resolve those issues and make those customers satisfied.

5. Work on just two platforms first

It may not be possible for you to stay active on all of the social media sites. If you are just starting out, make sure you choose one or two platforms and focus all your efforts on them. Most of your customers will be active on two big platforms, such as social media and Twitter.

So, these are 5 do's of social marketing. If done well, they can help you run effective social media campaigns to grow your customers and clients to expand your business.

If you need more of social media marketing advice, we suggest that you head to PopuSocial.

Social Media to Build Your Brand and Get Customers

It is no secret that social media has become a part of our daily lives. It is a direct platform for reaching consumers. The best thing about it is that people spend so much time on social media that you are sure that it will reach a portion of your market. In addition, it gives you realistic data and statistics which are easy to measure and interpret. Consequently it is the ideal way to build your brand and get customers.

How do you do it?

Create your social media pages and complete all the info. Add an attractive cover picture with a call to action. Add your logo as the profile photo. Then post on a daily basis, because each post only reaches a percentage of followers therefore posting every day is ideal.

Prepare a strategy that is your guideline to what will be posted on the social media. Don't just post anything. Be deliberate with what you share.

Post relevant and interesting content. You may be tempted to post ads every day. But rather break it up with interesting tips or fun posts in between. Make sure that the tips or fun posts are in line with your brand.

Use attractive images in your ads and add a call to action. Good pictures grab attention. Either, get a photographer to take pictures of your products or business, or make use of stock photos to create eye catching adverts.

Set up sponsored adverts that are targeted to your specific market. Specify the interests of the people you are targeting as well as the area. Be realistic with the area definition but also don't limit yourself too much. If you select an area that is very small, you will not see good results. Actually the results may show a very low reach in terms of the people that see the advert. You want as many people as possible to see the advert and the ones who are interested to interact with you.

Build a community by being available. Many businesses build a social media presence but don't maintain it. When people ask you questions, whether it is about your product or simply a question that you could answer, then answer it. Answer it quickly. Don't wait a week to get back to the person.

Remember they are probably on social media every day and may check if you've replied. If you don't respond, they may think that your brand doesn't care about them.
These are a few tips on how to get your brand noticed and your marketing campaign to generate leads.

What Are Your Digital Marketing Challenges? Here Are Our Top 5 (and Some Solutions Too!)

We're already at the end February (and the countdown to spring is on!). If you're like most small business owners, you kicked off January with a new and improved plan for your business, and most likely that included marketing to new prospects and collecting leads.

There are several challenges we're seeing with small business, specifically around marketing:

  • Small business owners don't have time to market online -there's a tendency to get lost on social media, in fact some refer to it as noisy.
  • Small business owners don't understand how to make the most of the marketing they're doing - This really comes down to strategy, what do you post when? If you're investing the time, you want to time it when you'll have the most eyes on your feed.
  • SMBs don't have a clear plan for market online (specifically with social media) - its not just what to post when, but it's the connection between the platforms that seems confusing. This is why a plan is essential.
  • Small businesses understand the need for automation, but don't like the feel of automation - you know what we mean here, there are emails you receive that just feel canned and generic. How can automation work when it feels so impersonal?
  • The learning curve is steep and continuous - even those of us who work in social media daily need to work to keep up on changing algorithms, so we get it!

What can you, as a small business owner, do right now?

  • Watch the efforts of someone you admire, how are they marketing?
  • Actively analyze what they're doing by examining when they post and what they post.
  • Do you see any trends behind their efforts, for example curated content versus original?
  • Time of day?
  • Tone?

Accept that you'll always be learning and look to subscribe to a blog or podcast that regularly posts about social media trends. Endeavor to try something new every month (yes, that may mean video!).

Embrace video, that's YouTube, Facebook Live and Instagram. Everyone feels uncomfortable at first, but when you start seeing the results, you'll quickly embrace it. Remember, people want to connect with you before they buy, and sometimes that seeing and hearing you!

Don't feel like you must do everything alone, do what you do best, outsource the rest.

Create a content schedule and mix planned content with spontaneous content.
Struggling to create a schedule? Read last week's blog that will help you get back on track!

Affiliate Marketing With Over 100 Million Google Visitors

We all know that website or blog traffic is the only key to generating life changing kind of money online. And one of the preferred methods among super successful affiliate marketers is commenting because you can reach millions of visitors, you just need to look in the right places.

You will have access to 5 sites within the online marketing niche later in this article. Combined, they have over 150 MILLION Visitors per Month! But you also need to know how to do your own research because that will enable you to reach these kind of sites in Any Niche.

You need to know whether the particular site is in fact indexed in Google. You need to know the page rank and both the quantity and quality of visitors to that site. Visitor origin is extremely important, next to a product in demand (On Your Blog).

In another Blog Post I demonstrate a certain research method that will show you just How to "Look In the Right Places". You need to research the sites you wish to comment on, and by using the simple tools as demonstrated above, I was able to come across sites with as much as 85.3 MILLION visitors per month.

But get this, they all allow comments and most even allow you to share your website and blog URL. Be careful though because the more professional the site, the less tolerance they will have to unprofessional conduct. This includes desperate sales pitches and a flood of random affiliate links, you only EVER share a URL to your own blog or website in any comments you make.

Most professional sites will provide you with one of 2 most used commenting options;

An On-Site Contact Form - That will allow you to share your URL by providing an option to do so, these forms normally require your name, email, URL and of course your comment.

Comments Feed Plugin - This is when you leave a comment by having to log into a particular social profile or Gravatar account to do so. And as these commenting options do not allow a special window for your URL, you DO NOT share any URL in these comments.

Within context however, you may want to suggest a certain idea and have other people respond to your comment. Should that discussion lead to an increased interest and request to view your site, then you share the link to your personal blog or website.

When You Comment - You always stay on topic, and blend with the discussion at hand. That can only be done by actually reading the particular post you wish to comment on. Don't just barge in with a desperate sales pitch or offer, it mirrors desperation. Keep your comments as professional as possible, and you will never have to write another sales pitch.

Professional commenting (And Actually Getting results) is a time consuming exercise and must never be done hastily. Apart from researching the sites you wish to comment and even guest post on, you also want to read other comments. Find what a particular audience is looking for so that you may be able to offer a suitable and obvious solution (That Actually Works). And make sure this offer is available On Your Blog, preferably with a proper discussion because you want to inspire your visitor to want to Know More.

The purpose of your comment must be to get the visitor to your own blog or website, you then need to ensure your content is interesting and useful enough to keep your visitor there. A great way to check this is to pay attention to your visitor/view ratio. Your visitors should be less than the views because it indicates that you're on the right path, it means you have returning visitors.

Now I did promise to provide access to my personal 5 commenting favourites, but I strongly advise you master that research method we discussed earlier.

Moz- This site offer an On Site Comment window that allows you to share your URL as a Hyper Link. Do not enter a raw URL (And Especially an Affiliate Offer URL) anywhere, because this is also a great way to get Moz to recognize your Blog or Website. Share the link to your personal site by means of the Hyper Link option provided.

Once signed up and inside your membership, you need to visit the Moz Blog to be able to comment and share your thoughts. You will also be able to answer questions because this is a site that offers great engagement, I can tell you that.

The Penny Hoarder - This site uses a Facebook comment plugin. You will need to login with your Facebook credentials to comment here, so be sure your profile is as complete and professional as possible. You will not have to register an account with the Penny Hoarder, only Facebook login to comment. And remember to only share the link to your blog or website when asked to do so.

Pro Blogger - And this is a perfect example of the on-site comments window where you have the option of sharing your blog URL. Once your comment is approved, your site will be accessible to reader when they click on your name in the comment. Pro Blogger, like Penny Hoarder requires no registration.

Money Talks News- Another high value site that does not require any registration. Like The Penny Hoarder, Money Talks too uses the Facebook comments plugin so the same rules apply. Only share the URL to your blog when asked to do so.

Always remember that content is the King of sales conversion, and unique content is what will have your site stand out. Content is the single most important part of actually generating money online, and endless research is the only way to be able to provide your audience with the relevant content. You must do the research, so your reader does not have to.

And that is how you can now leverage commenting to your profitable advantage.

Split Testing Your Facebook Ads - Why It's A Must

Split testing is an important aspect of Facebook Ads optimization. However, not all ad objectives support split testing so it's a bit unfortunate. Maybe in the future Facebook will allow split testing for all of their campaign objectives. For now, here's a list of objectives that support split testing:

  • Reach
  • Traffic
  • Engagement
  • App installs
  • Video views
  • Lead generation
  • Conversions
  • Catalog sales

If you're on the fence about using this feature, and whether it's worth your time and money, read this short article to find out some of its benefits:

You might be asking now: What is split testing?

Well it's a feature you can use to test your ad's performance against a single or a set of variables and see which version of your ad is performing best so you can deactivate the ones that aren't delivering and keep or even accelerate the one or maximum two that are delivering the best results (Best ROI to be specific)

Variables can include gender, age, location, interest, and even certain dates and times to show your ad in the news feed.

1. You don't need to guess at what's working and what's not

Utilizing this feature of Facebook Ads, you get to cross off your list all those elements that are not working for your ads. By the end of a few tests, you'll know exactly what's working and what's resonating with your audience, and what's not. This will definitely help you save time in the future by now using those elements which are proven failures again, but you are also a step closer to creating the perfect high-converting ad for your business.

2. Your results are not due to luck

Some people get lucky with their first advert. But they're few and far in between. If you depend on luck, you're not going to get very far. Advertising means you need to spend money to reach people. If you depend on luck, you're throwing money to the wind. With split testing, you can pinpoint exactly what made your ad successful. You can say with certainty that these elements are the reason for your ad's success, and you can use the same elements again in your future campaigns.

3. It's a worthy investment

With split testing, you get to spend money up front, but once you find a winning campaign, you can easily recover the cash you've paid for those failed adverts. You just need to have a detailed plan in mind and at least have an idea of the kinds of elements you'd want to test. There's an infinite number of elements and combinations for every advert, so you need to narrow down your choices from the get-go and not spend too much money. This is the smart way to do split tests, have a theory or objective in mind and set to prove that theory right (or wrong).

5 Advanced Twitter Lead Generation Tips

If you tweet regularly, use image and videos often, and socialize more than you sell, you can generate a lot of leads on Twitter. You should also use plenty of keywords and hashtags you want to be found for in your Twitter bio. You need to generate an engaging cover photo that includes a call to action, and you should be tweeting, retweeting and interacting with your followers and prospects daily.

Those tried-and-true but simple tactics work well to build an email list or prospect pool. When you want to harness the full lead-capture ability of Twitter, you need to use some proven advanced tactics. The following Twitter lead-generation tips and strategies are the ones the pros use every day to maximize their efforts on the world's second-largest social media site.

1 - Approach Lead-Generation Tweets Differently

If you are just tweeting for engagement, you can create some catchy text, a hashtag or two, an image, and you are ready to go. When you attempt to use tweets to create leads, you have to take a little different approach if you want your efforts to succeed.

Lead-gen tweets deliver the best results when they are simple and straightforward. Make them as short as possible, and don't worry about using all your allotted characters. The attention span of web surfers is short and is getting shorter all the time. When your message is to the point, and you have a clear call to action (CTA), like a link to your email opt-in page, you will get better performance than a long update that is ambiguous and unclear.

Use the link-shortening website bit.ly to make your actionable link as short as possible. If your clickable link is awkward and ugly, this can actually lower your click through rate. Don't include multiple mentions or links. Just 1 CTA, clear direction about what to do, a catchy image and a short message combine to make a high-performance lead-gen tweet.

2 - Try Twitter Cards

Twitter has a feature that is custom-made for generating leads. Twitter Lead Generation Cards work so well because they allow you to add people to your email list or prospect pool without them having to leave Twitter. People on social media sites are there to hang out and socialize. They don't always like the idea of being removed from their favorite social media hangout.

Twitter Cards, among other excellent features, have the ability to generate leads without your prospects feeling as if they are being routed through some sales funnel. As Twitter states:

- "With Twitter Cards, you can attach rich photos, videos, and media experience to Tweets that drive traffic to your website. Simply add a few lines of HTML to your web page, and users who Tweet links to your content will have a 'Card' added to the Tweet that's visible to all their followers."
This means a Twitter user, whether they are a follower of yours or not, can join your email newsletter, buy a product or service, download an application or perform some other actions without moving off their Twitter feed. This makes them feel comfortable, not like they are being sold to or manipulated.

The fewer steps a prospect must take for you to get them to take the required action, the higher your odds of making the conversion you seek. There are 8 different Twitter Cards, and each of them offers different lead-gen properties. Buffer has created a Twitter Card primer to help get you started.

3 - Twitter's Search Box Can Be Used To Generate Content Ideas

Twitter moves a mile a minute, especially when you have a large group of followers. The average tweet stays on-screen approximately 30 seconds, and if your followers are active, it may not even last that long. This means it is crucial to link your tweets to topics and subjects that are driving engagement right now.

You can use Twitter's search feature to discover what topics are currently red-hot. Then you simply come up with a clever way to attach your call to action, tweet topic or lead-generating link to subjects that are getting a lot of action. Take the following steps to come up with fresh ideas about what to tweet about, while also using trending topics to improve your click through rate and lead-gen success.

Go to Twitter Search

Across the bottom of the way, you will see several hashtags, words, and phrases listed under a section titled "Trends for You."

These are the trending topics which are lighting up the Twitterverse. Find one that relates to your industry or niche, or one of the red-hot topics that you can somehow relate to your message.

You can also search for an industry keyword, hashtag or phrase you are trying to be found for, and see what people are saying about it right now. You need to heed a word of warning here. Blindly attaching your tweet to an irrelevant topic, even though it is popular right now, can do more than good.

4 - Use Twitter Advanced Search

You just learned an advanced tactic for using Twitter's basic search feature to generate leads. Now you are going to step up your game, using a veteran tactic that harnesses even more power from Twitter search.

This an excellent targeting feature which allows you to see anyone that is currently on Twitter who matches a set of selection data you enter. A London-based company could immediately target other Twitter users in London, and you can also look for people who made specific statements or asked particular questions.

Head over to https://goo.gl/rblFK.

Enter your search term. For example, you can look for people who have searched for "I need a London, SEO specialist." You can then add date ranges to keep your data relevant and updated, and filter according to specific Twitter accounts. You can also limit your results to negative or positive input, retweets, questions and other information. Use this feature to find any and every tweet mentioning your username or the username of industry leaders in your field.

5 - Schedule and Automate Your Tweets

As a business owner, you have a lot to do. If you are a one man or one woman operation, like so many Internet entrepreneurs and coffee-table business owners, you may find it harder than most to create the free time needed for your Twitter lead-gen tasks. Unlike some other social media networks, Twitter requires that you continually post content, if your marketing efforts are going to pay off. You will find that 5 to 10 tweets each day, spread out over an 8 to 12-hour time-frame, will provide the biggest bang for your lead-gen buck.

Beginners to Twitter often find this daunting.

One way to ensure you are regularly and consistently posting content is to do so on your smart phone. It only takes a few seconds to retweet the content of others, mention a particular user, or create and publish a brand-new tweet. However, even if you are pretty quick at tweeting and interacting with others on Twitter, your time investment can still add up.

That's why you should consider using the following Twitter automation tools to schedule your tweeting and lead-generation efforts for you. They allow you to schedule new updates and republish your most popular content for dates and times in the future. This means a once a week you could spend an hour or so creating and scheduling your Twitter content delivery, and then the following software suites and applications take care of the process for you on autopilot.

CoSchedule - This marketing calendar does more than just allow you to schedule your updates on Twitter and other social media sites. Their editorial calendar gives you the ability to plan your social updates for immediate delivery or schedule them for later. Also, you can publish at those times which have proven to provide maximum interaction, and you can upload large amounts of updates and previous tweets to be republished on a regular schedule.

Buffer - This is one of the most popular social media management applications. You can handle your Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts from one dashboard. With this app, it is easy to plan the delivery of your updates for a later time, including videos and images.

Social Oomph - Put simply, this is an effective social media scheduling tool. It works with Twitter and other popular social media networks, allowing you to monitor and track mentions, retweets, keywords, hashtags and other data. It has a built-in linkshortener, so you have more room in your tweet for your message, rather than a link.

PostPlanner - You can tell from the name exactly what this application does. Instead of just planning and scheduling your content for you, which is evident from the name, you can additionally use this app to find out what keywords and hashtags are generating the most interest. One of many nice features is that PostPlanner knows the best time to post, and it will automatically share and retweet great content.

Tips When Advertising on Facebook

Facebook has come a long way from being a website for expanding your social network to being a progressive platform for businesses and content creators. In fact, it has changed the game of social media advertising and made it possible for all kinds of businesses to advertise their products even on a small budget.

If you're anything like us, you've probably come across at least one Facebook advertisement. But if you're an entrepreneur planning to advertise your business, coming up with a creative campaign that will actually stand out can be a bit of a challenge.

So how can you stand out despite the stream of Facebook ads on your potential clients' news feeds?

Here are some tips:

Be Really Pretty or Really Shocking

You can either go down the aesthetic route or be extremely attention-grabbing that your audience can't help but look at what you have to offer. Aesthetically pleasing ads can be really effective depending on the commodity you're planning to sell and the customers you're trying to attract.

Using shocking visuals can, on the other hand, get anyone's attention provided that you provide effectively written content to go along with it. Whichever route you take, remember that grabbing your audience's attention is one thing and getting them hooked on what you have to offer is another.

Use Offers and Discounts

This is a marketing classic. Discounts, price cuts, and offers are sweet words that can attract customers to your business. Remember to highlight the right keywords on your ad and reassure your customer that there will be no hidden charges to surprise them later on.

Round Up

While it has been widely used by businesses as a way to attract customers and give them the idea that they're actually paying less, not rounding up your price can come off as indirect and misleading form of marketing to your customers.

Tell your customers how much exactly they're about to pay for your product. Write "$20" instead of "$19.99" on your advertisement. It's direct, honest and overall a fresh approach on selling as it does not sugar coat anything for your customers.

Not Selling Might Sell

Yes, call to actions are commonly used and generally deemed as one of the essentials in marketing, but it's not always what you need. Especially if you're still starting out in the business world, raising brand awareness through advertisements can be beneficial for you.

Remember that trust is something you need to earn from your customers. In order to get loyal patrons, you need people to know about what you have to offer and earn their trust. If your goal is to increase brand awareness, hard selling might not be the best way to go for you... yet.

Instead, focus on advertising content that will represent what your business is about. Focus on leading more people to your page before persuading them to purchase your products. This improves your business's chances of proving what it stands for and your product's/service's saleability later on.

Videos

One of the most unique ways to advertise on Facebook is through videos. This can be very effective since video is one of the most widely used types of content on the internet nowadays. It allows you to better capture your audience's attention and effectively get your message across.

There are many ways to make the most of your Facebook ad campaign. You can follow the tips above, or you can do it your own way. No matter how you plan to execute your Facebook ad campaign, remember that creativity and being relatable are two things that can help you springboard your campaign to success.
