How to Make Money Streaming - 6 Ways to Monetize Your Video

How to make money streaming - 6 ways to go live and get paid

In this article, we are going to see how you can make money by video streaming or in other words monetize your live video stream.

1. Run ads

Running ads is one sure method of monetizing your live video stream. There are two types of video ads - In-Stream (Linear video ads) and In-Display (non-linear video ads). The ads that are displayed before the video are called linear video ads while the non-linear ads are the ones that the viewers see concurrently while watching the video.

Ads are a great way to monetize your video content, but it's tricky. You need to play the ad, get the viewer to click on it, and at the same time ensure that the viewer doesn't get bored and leave your live stream. Plus, major platforms like Facebook and YouTube have different regulations for video streaming and running ads.

When to run the ads - the best time would be when the creator or the person doing the live streaming wants to take a break. Time the ad correctly - don't leave the viewer hanging in the middle of a sentence!

When you're running a live stream on YouTube, you can play the ad at any point of time in your live video. However, do try to keep your audience informed that a break would be coming up.

On Facebook, not every video streamer will have the option of taking a break. If your Facebook page displaying the live stream has more than 50,000 followers and more than 300 concurrent viewers in the last live video, you can take a break after 4 minutes.

If you want to maximize the earnings from your live video stream, you need to build traffic to your website or your Facebook page. When you have higher number of visitors, the number of concurrent viewers increase, so the chances of ads converting are higher, which translates to increased revenue.

2. Subscriptions/Pay per view

The other way to make money from your videos is to get your audience to subscribe or pay for your video. You could release a teaser, giving the audience a taste of what is to come. If the viewers want to watch more, they need to subscribe to your page or pay for the video. Streaming platforms such as Vimeo Live and IBM Cloud have in-built subscription features.

3. Donations and Crowdfunding

A recent study by Deloitte Global found that "Donations are also an emerging element of the business model for other live-streaming platforms, including platforms used for streaming video game play." Many live streams are asking their fans for donations and in return giving them virtual gifts.

Crowdfunding is another method to monetize your video stream. Indiegogo, Kickstarter and Patreon are a few of the popular crowd-funding platforms. You need to create an account on these platforms, build your project, specify your goals, and then promote your project on other platforms, so people visit your project page and contribute to it.

4. Affiliates

Setting up an affiliate program is a sure way of monetizing your video stream. It could however take time to establish and give you the returns you expect. The best part is that once you have set it up, you can passively earn money as your video gets more popular.

You need to first link up with affiliate platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. You can create videos about products sold on the platforms. If you have a video stream that focusses on technology, then you can choose such products. For example, a mobile phone - you can create a video about the features of the mobile phone, trouble shooting tips, best ways to customize the cell phone, and lot's more. At the end of the video, direct the viewer to go to the product page on the affiliate platform. Every time a viewer clicks on your video and goes to the affiliate site, you earn a commission.

5. Sponsorships

If your live stream channel is popular, then you can confidently approach the larger players in the market for deals and sponsorships. Brands don't come forward to sponsor your video stream, you need to take the first step and approach the right people. However, when you're doing that make sure you stay within your niche. The theme of your video should be in accord with the brand that is sponsoring you.

6. Sell your products

Live videos are a great opportunity for subconscious selling. For ages, marketers have been using this technique to sell products and services to their audience. However, you should remember that subconscious selling only happens when you have already built the trust in your viewers. Market research shows that a person is more likely to buy a product when someone in his/her social group has already purchased it. That's why influencers play a huge role in promotions. However, you don't have to directly sell your product when you're streaming the live video. Use the product and then casually talk about its features and where one can buy it and then go back to your video's main theme. This could subconsciously encourage viewers to check out the product and buy it.

Live video streaming gives you plenty of scope to explore your passion, share your views with your fans, and still get to earn money. To make the maximum earnings from your live video streams, you can use a mix of the above 6 ways. Competition on the internet is very high, so you need to continually work to keep your fans' attentions so that they keep coming back to you. To keep your fans interested, your video content needs to be interesting, useful, and clear. Create great videos and build a loyal fan following - you can surely see returns on your investment.

Fighting the Battles of the Forex Market

Understanding the tiny facts about the Forex market is mostly what it takes to be a successful trader. Many people from a standoff-ish point of view see Forex trading as so much hard work meant only for professionals with long years of experience in the finance industry - but there is more to it. What many do not know is that just about anyone can make a huge fortune from the Forex market with the right idea and the right practice.

It is true that there is need for hard work and experience, but that is just the secondary aspect of what one needs to succeed as a Forex trader. People readily skip the primary facts that form the foundation of a successful trader, thinking they are negligible when they are not. A stable psychological state of mind is one of the primary factors that have so far proven immensely important in trading successfully. The weird thing about it is that anyone, new or seasoned professional traders, can fall prey of the damage that comes from not having a sound mind towards trading Forex. It takes constant efforts, irrespective of past records, to keep one's head above water in the world of currency exchange.

TAKE A LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING SCENARIO

Mr. A is experienced in the finance industry as a professional analyst and trader. He has worked with so many finance organizations, learnt a lot in the process, and even developed some awesome theories that earned him a noble price. Obviously, he is highly sought after at all times, and there is a long waiting list of huge finance firms asking for his consultation and partnership. Mr. A finally agrees to work with one of the big companies as the team leader of a group of exceptional high end professionals like himself, and the whole world's eyes were on them to see how they will fare. Definitely, Mr. A and his team are expected to change the story of the organization for good; everyone expected that. The question now is how good will the outcome be? You can imagine the surprise when Mr. A and his team lead the company to its demise. Yes, the company closed down as a result of wrong calculations amplified by leverage.

What went wrong with Mr. A and his team? The only logical explanation to that is that they were too proud of their achievements, and as such were psychologically damaged to the point that they thought they knew it all. They felt they could control the Forex market since they are an excellent group of analysts working together, probably the best group of analysts in the whole wide world. That right there is psychological instability, and it does not go well with Forex trading.

HOW TO MASTER THE PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECT OF Forex TRADING

Meanwhile, this story is real. It happened to LTCM funding company, and there is so much the finance world can learn from that when it comes to mastering of emotions while trading the Forex market. Here are some points to help:

1. ALWAYS WORK WITH MODERATION:

Do not put all of your eggs in one basket; never. There will always be better opportunities in future, so it makes no sense to feel like "it is now or never". Greed is at the top of the list of the problems encountered by Forex traders. It is important to always seek profit and attach importance to financial success, but it should not be the driving force of the traders.

To make sure greed does not prevail, ensure strict adherence to discipline. Traders should always learn to stick to their trading strategies at all times. Every anticipated move should be based on principles established by the diligent study of the market.

2. WHAT IS THE WORSE THAT CAN HAPPEN?

In the career life of every Forex trader comes a time of indecision. No one can control the Forex market, and that is more than enough reason for many to fear. There are times a trader may be on a failing streak, and it looks like the strategy is not what it should be. Well, it is the Forex market; no one has control over it. The best any trader can do is to stick to the plan, and keep a bit of an open mind towards the opinion of others based on proper research. Indecision should be highly avoided, even at the point of fear.

To avoid the implications of trading fears, traders should learn to stick to the strategy of course, and avoid random decisions. Also, traders should avoid leveraging their accounts unreasonably, thereby risking too much. Always have it in mind to stake just as much as you are willing to lose.

3. DON'T GET HIGH:

The thing about getting high is that your state of mind is elevated in an unrealistic manner. A trader that gets high on Forex trading is tempted to believe that Forex will give him unlimited wealth no matter the approach he takes. Even traders that may not have ever experienced failure in trades should not get high or euphoric on that. In most cases, people that are in a euphoric state of mind while trading Forex end up frustrated because they allowed their feelings of might to blind their reasoning. If you have been on a winning streak for a while, be careful not to think that you have mastered Forex trading so much that you can trade without your strategy and still get good results. Anyone that dares to do that is simply high; and is doomed to fail at a point.

Always have it in mind that all strategies have flaws, no matter how long it has worked perfectly well in trades. The market changes, therefore strategies need to be altered to suit the change as required. A trade can only be successful if the trader has put in time to study the market and applied profitable principles of trading, not the other way round. The case of LTCM is a very good instance of this case.

4. IT GETS BETTER:

Again, a trade can only be successful if the trader put in time to study the market and applied profitable principles of trading. It is possible to lose several trade one after the other; it happens even to the best of Forex traders, which can lead to panic. However, this is not enough reason to quit as many may be tempted to, rather, the trader should put in the required time to study the market and apply the right principles.

Note that periods of market volatility causes panic more than any other factor. Volatility can make a sound strategy seem like it is useless, which is true. Strategies for trading a volatile market environment are not exactly the same with non volatile market conditions. Some traders prefer to use a different strategy entirely, or stay away from trading the Forex market in such times.

CONCLUSION:

No one masters anything overnight. It takes time, persistence, and constant practice; but in the long run, it all pays off profitably. The Forex market is the biggest market in the world, there is always room for anyone to trade and make good profit when the right principles are applied.

3 Simple and Effective Forex Strategies

Using simple but effective Forex strategies need not be difficult. There are three popular styles when it comes to actually trading currency. Ideally, you should try to apply aspects of each of these styles to maximize your success.

Here we will discuss them so that you can begin to implement in your Forex investment plan:

Technical Information Analysis

This is when you take advantage of all information available on the currency pair. This is especially useful because you can have constant updates and keep a very close eye on the best possible time to affect your buyout or trade.

This will allow you to leave trade options open until a currency or currency pair will achieve the price that you're looking for and keep a constant eye on happenings.

Sentiment Trades

This is a different aspect from technical trading because it involves market shifts that move based on feeling rather than specific fundamental facts. Market sentiment can often require you to react on a very visceral or gut driven basis and what you think the market will also react to.

It assumes that you have an understanding and intuitive feel for the market and currency trades based on prior experience. One huge advantage of this kind of trading is that it allows you to anticipate a market based on prior experience and outperform the herd consistently.

Specific Forex Strategies

There are literally dozens of books written on Forex trading strategies. Each specific strategy builds upon prior knowledge bases and allows you the opportunity to take advantage of proven methods when it comes to currency exchanges.

For example, the London Jammer trade takes example of specific volatility and indecision that has characterized many of the European markets. Tactics like this work best with certain kinds of reoccurring events happening in the market.

It becomes the responsibility of the trader to recognize events, trends and specific day trading sessions that will trigger the ability to choose the correct Forex strategy. When patterns are identified, you would then invoke the strategy that you would use to counter or take advantage of the events in the markets.

In the end, all investment strategies involve risk, sufficient information, a feel for the market and the ability to make decisions on the fly. Effective Forex strategies take advantage of all of these events and combine together for the right opportunity for you and your future investments.

My Beginner's Guide to E-Product Development

Introduction
The internet is an elephant, so to speak. So how do you eat an elephant? One would say one piece at a time. Every internet guru has his own views about how to succeed in the internet or online, but like any other thing in life, there is no one perfect way, or one size fits all. Some say content is king. Some say begin with a list. Some say begin with 100% automation. Content, list, and automation all matter, but what about the person that is just beginning and doesn't know his left from his right? I believe a beginner should start with a product to prove his credibility and from there move on to building a list while at the same time gradually working towards automating his website to work on autopilot.

A Caveat about Starting With a Product
Having said that it's better to start with a product, I believe it's appropriate to throw in this qualification by saying that at the highest levels, you can actually sell a product you have not yet developed to your list or followers, but as a beginner, you may not be able to employ that strategy. At its most basic, it involves telling your followers that you have a product that is coming out in say 90 days or 180 days time and any one among them that buys in advance would get it at 30 or 20 percent discount. Some may decide to buy and you can then use the cash to develop the product. This strategy is for already well known "brands" like Peter Diamandis, Brendon Burchard, Tim Ferriss and Tony Robbins to mention just four.

How to Develop Your First Product
This presentation focuses on how you can develop your first product. The truth is, in internet business, you don't have to wait until you have a perfect product. Just begin and continue improving along the way. If you compare cars or any product for that matter made in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and 2000s, you notice that they keep getting better in terms of design, sleekness, and performance, to mention just three aspects. That should be your aim. Start, and keep improving day in and day out.

In this presentation, the focus is entirely on electronic products (eProducts), not the selling of physical products online, which is referred to as e-commerce. I'm assuming that you're already an expert operating in six dimensions as an author, trainer, speaker, coach, consultant, seminar leader and now gunning for the seventh dimension, information marketing. If you don't consider yourself an expert, don't worry too much, we'll come back to that and the scales will fall off from your eyes. Even if you're not operating in any of the dimensions yet, say you're just an employee, don't worry, this presentation will open your eyes to the possibilities ahead. The author of the book Instant Income, Janet Switzer, listed over 52 eProducts one can develop in her Maverick Program but we'll limit ourselves to just the simplest products as this is a beginner's program.

Understanding or knowing which products to develop, the demand for those products and how to position your products are beyond the scope of this presentation. Also marketing, selling and launching your product are outside the scope of this presentation. Having covered those preliminaries, let's dive in on your product development journey.

Products Suitable For E-Copies
The main products that you can easily convert to e-format are:
• Books
• Music
• Courses (seminars) - these are generally referred to as "How to Products."
• Speeches
• Research findings

The Top 7 Most Lucrative "How to Products" Areas In the Expert Industry

According to Brendon Burchard, in his book The Expert Messenger, the seven most lucrative how to product areas are:

1. Motivation Advice
2. Leadership Advice
3. Financial Advice
4. Business Advice
5. Marketing Advice
6. Relationship Advice
7. Spiritual Advice

E-Product Formats
The main formats are:
• PDF
• E-pub
• Mobi
• Audio (MP3)
• Videos (MP4)

Sites For Uploading Your E-Products
Having made or created your product, the next thing to do is to launch. You can launch your products through a combination of channels, including:
• Your website
• Third-party websites
• YouTube
• Vimeo
• Stitcher
• iTunes
• SoundCloud
• CD Baby
• To your List through an e-marketing platform, example, Mailchimp.

The Various Product Formats In Detail
Let us now take the product formats one at a time in slightly more detail.

PDF (Portable Document Format)
One of the easiest ways to join the online business as an expert is to start with training course, workshop, seminar or a book. Your book in particular can and will open doors especially if you can write a New York Times best seller. For a beginner, that might be far-fetched so let's just begin with a good book or a well thought out course. Having done your book or course (this applies too to seminars and workshops), you save in word or PowerPoint and convert it to PDF. PDF (portable document format) is a special format developed by Adobe and can be bought online or better still buy the CD and install in your laptop. Once converted to PDF, no one can amend or tinker with your product and you can upload it to your website and start selling. Sounds so simple? Yes! Technology simplifies things. Anybody with a laptop or smart-phone can buy your product and start enjoying it right away. Most new generation laptops and smart-phones have PDF reader pre-installed or you can simply download an app that enables you read the PDF document.

E-Pub
E-Pub (ePub) is short for electronic publication and is an eBook file format that the majority of devices, including iPad, android smartphones, tablets, computers, or e-readers can read. To convert your book to e-Pub requires a special software, which an average business centre can help you achieve. If you cannot get a business centre near you to convert your book to epub, you can do it online through a company by the name Allzone.

Mobi
Mobi is especially peculiar to Amazon Kindle as that is the only format that Kindle uses. Starting in 2011, some analysts projected that within five years there would be over 53million Kindles worldwide so if you want one of the Kindle users to buy your book, you have no choice but to have it in Mobi format. But there is good news. Amazon does not even require you to convert your book into Mobi before uploading to Amazon. You can upload to Amazon in Word format and Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) will automatically convert it to Mobi for you.

MP4 and MP3
Just a few years ago we were using what was then known as CD (compact disc) before the mp3 format, which is an audio coding format for digital audio, was introduced. The mp3 (or MP3) format can store enormous amounts of sound so you don't need hundreds of CDs as before. Your finished work can be converted to mp3 very easily to be listened to using digital devices including smartphones, iPads and laptops. Don't worry about how to do this as an average sound or video editor would handle the technical aspects and help you uploaded your product to Stitcher, SoundCloud or CD Baby. Editing is not very expensive and goes for as low as $5 for a one hour episode depending on the editor and the fee keeps coming down as more and more people master the art of video editing.

Videos
Videos are what make the internet tick. Video engages more than any other medium so it's a must you learn how to do video. And the good news is that it's not as complex as you may imagine. You don't even need any technical skills. Direct-to-camera video is the one you make with an ordinary camera or camcorder. Camera comes highly recommended compared to camcorder not only because cameras are generally smaller in size and cheaper, but because they develop less heat compared to camcorders. Initially, you may have to rent the camera but with time, you may decide to acquire your own. The most popular camera type is Canon, but you can also make videos with your smart phone however there is a slight drawback as you may not be able to edit or get audio or MP3 out of a smart phone so having a camera has advantages.

The other type of video is the one you make with a software. For Windows computer, you use a software called Camtasia and for Apple computers, you use what is called screenflow. You have to pre-install camtasia (or screenflow if you're using Mac) in your computer to begin with. Let's focus on Windows computers since that is the one I use. Having installed camtasia in your computer, the other processes are pretty straight forward. You first prepare your presentation in PowerPoint. When your slides are ready, you put on the earphone and plug in the voice converter or adapter and switch on camtasia. Once camtasia is on, you start speaking and as you finish with one slide, you move to the next one until your presentation is over. Once your presentation is done, you save what you have done for editing and viola your video is ready and you can upload it to your website, YouTube or Vimeo. Editing is not very expensive and it's not something to worry about as an average business centre can handle it for you.

There is yet a third way of producing videos. This is different from camtasia video we just described above. In this case, there are actually companies that specialize in helping you make videos by providing you with prepared templates. One of them, which I use, is a company called Animoto. What you do is you sign on to Animoto and they give you the architecture to do a video complete with background music. You simply register with the company and once you log-in you just follow the straightforward instructions for preparing a video.

Animoto has free and paid versions of the service. The paid version starts at about $96 per annum. You don't need any skills to do a video. The website provides all the needed headings, such as description of video, which you fill in and upload the pictures and provide a description of your video and viola, your video is ready. In the free and lower end paid versions, the company's logo, Animoto, will appear on your video, but in the premium versions, nothing appears so no one would know you used Animoto. For the very high end versions, you can even customize by putting your name or company's name and logo on the video. For the free version, you'll be provided with a maximum of 6 place holders for just 1 minute video and no more. If you want longer videos then you have to go for the paid versions.

Conclusion
A journey of a thousand miles as the saying goes begins with one step. Internet or online expert business sounds and appears hard when you have no one to guide and show you the way. The fastest way to cut your learning curve is to get a coach and you'll be up and running in no time. In our Expert Empire Program we guide you through how to develop e-Products.

As soon as you trust yourself…

As soon as you trust yourself…

As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.

Goethe wrote that, and let’s face it...that makes a lot of sense.

The problem is, it’s pretty hard to trust yourself when you are trying to do something new (like internet marketing) and you don’t even know where to start.

What makes it worse is that there are endless amounts of information written on the topic and every day more is being added to the stack...pretty much all of it conflicts with each other in one way or another.

So what is a person to do with a situation like that?

Well personally I say start with this:

Step 1. Do your best. Acknowledge that it won’t be perfect or maybe even good but your best is good enough and recognize that your best will get better every day.

Step 2. Commit yourself to the craft. Making a living online is a science and an artform. It takes practice to get good at it. Practice and experience. So make it a priority and dedicate a little bit of time to getting better at it every day.

Step 3. Understand that to make money online you need a steady stream of targeted traffic. By targeted I mean traffic that cares about what you are selling.

Step 4. Understand that the single most reliable and cheapest source for targeted traffic that converts highly into dollars is email.

Step 5. Commit to becoming great at effective list building and email marketing.

Step 6. Understand that there are many ways to be great online. Many ways to make money and many ways to do almost everything. However you only need to master one. Commit to your one path and let everything else fall away until you get your project to money.

That’s it. For now.

In my messages, I'm going to give you a valuable education on the world of digital marketing.

Just implement what I show you and get results. It works for countless others, and can work for you too.

So sit back, buckle up, and get ready. We're going to learn some things that you can apply immediately!

Success Is Ours!

How To Generate Traffic Using Article Marketing

You have probably heard people say that article marketing is dead.

It isn't!

People, who claim that, have never used article marketing the right way, you see.

They have been doing "article directory marketing", which is sending lots of traffic to the article directories, instead of to their own site or blog.

So forget about the Google Panda scare.

Here's how you can generate traffic using article marketing:

1: Write longer articles - aim at 600 - 1200 words.

2: Give it your best - fill the article with valuable content.

If you struggle with writing 400 words in an article at this point, you might ask:

"How in the world will I ever arrive at 600 words? Or more?"

Crazy, right?

You'll be surprised how easy it is, though, when you start out with a different aim - giving the best quality, you can.

If your goal was to produce articles, which would make your readers click at the link in your resource box and buy the product, you were promoting, yes, then it's hard to write small 400 word articles.

With a different point of view, you'll be amazed to find yourself plotting out long, content rich articles in no time.

At this moment, you might be wondering:

"Why? Why should I write longer articles and give away valuable content?"

To understand the answer, you have to go back to the basic definition of an article directory.

Article directories are here - not just to show your article and make money themselves through ads - but to be a middleman between writers and ezine owners.

In other words: Your goal with your articles should be to get them syndicated.

If ONE big list owner picks up your article, you can look forward to thousands of incoming readers.

Believe me, this is much better than earning a click now and then, directly from the article directory.

The really successful article marketers all agree on this one:

The best way to generate traffic using article marketing is to write with the sole goal of getting your article picked up and syndicated.

How to Generate Traffic Using a Blog

I am sure by now you've found out that there are a lot of different things you can do to generate traffic on the internet.

Some are instant.  Some are free.  Some take a lot of time.

However, one of the best things you can do for your business to generate traffic is to start a blog.

A blog is a great way to get traffic because you can use a variety of different methods to promote it.

You can use SEO for each blog post that will help you build traffic over time.

If you're using something like wordpress for your blog, you'll be able to use a variety of search engine plug-ins that will help you with doing seo.

This takes a lot of the technicality out of getting good rankings for your websites.

Another great thing about a blog is that you can focus solely on creating great content without having to worry about getting top search engine rankings.

If you create useful content, people will start linking to your blog.

You'll start receiving visitors from another trusted website.

When people link to your blog it's like they're giving you a vote of confidence.

They're telling their readers that you have a good website that will provide them with awesome content.

Automatically you already have trust in their eyes.  Whereas getting traffic from a search engine you'll have to build the trust.

Blogs are interactive so people love them.

You'll be able to read some of the comments on your blog and be able to respond accordingly which is another great way to build trust.

One of the other positives about blogs is a thing called an "RSS Feed".

This will make it so your content can get syndicated by other websites and this is why it's important that you have interesting headlines for your readers.

The feed will pick up the headlines and the person will decide to read depending on how interested they are in what you're offering.

So if you're looking at starting a blog, you can now see the benefits of doing so.

You'll get traffic.  You'll build trust.  You'll build relationships.

In the end you'll make a lot more money.

Building a Web Site for Your Home Based Business

It is possible to make money online, running your business from home. But to be able to do this, you have to have a web site. Most people starting up a home based business will try and build their own, that's fine if you know what you are doing but can reflect very badly if you don't. Home based business web sites, need to be professional looking but not overly flashy!

Some work-from-home opportunities include a web site when you sign up but if starting up a business, consider either one of two options.

1) Pay someone to build your web site for you. Look around you, web sites can be purchased at low cost these days.

2) Use a Free template or paid for template. Web designers work from home too and are happy to work for low fees to get their own online/home-based business off the ground.

Make sure your web site is consistent.

Your customers will want to see a consistent web layout. Most users will make an impression of your site in seconds. The difference between a good looking site and a bad looking site is a potential lost sale.

If you run an e-commerce business from home, don't try and build the shopping cart yourself. Use a third party product like PayPal, particularly good for selling a few products and well respected. Payment processors like PayPal take care of your Data Protection requirements and leave you to get on with promoting your internet business.

Third party software

With a small investment, you can purchase a complete shopping cart or if you are on a tight budget, you could use an open source e-commerce product. Either way if your home based business sells a lot of products, why try and re-invent the wheel!

Paid host or free host?

Don't make me laugh! A years internet hosting with your own domain name costs less that taking someone out for dinner. If you don't make this one investment, then why bother starting a business at home? Owning a domain adds professionalism to your business. How many www. mysite.myinternetserviceprovidername.com web sites have you seen, that are successful online businesses?

How much does it all cost?

Hosting your new web site and fitting it out with e-commerce might cost you less than a $100 per year. This depends how many products you sell and how much of the work you are prepared to do your self. But be realistic know your limitations and know when to ask for help!

Good luck working from home.

Home Based Business Made EAsy

Everyone wants to start their own business and become their own boss, but many do not know how to do it. There are several types of home-based businesses. Service companies, product sales, and web-based home-based businesses, to name a few.

In this article, I will walk you through the process of starting your own online home business. I will try to eliminate some of the mystery of the process. By following this guideline, you'll be up and running in no time without making a huge investment.

First, you need to know what your business is going to do. Will he provide a service? Do you intend to sell products? These are the two general types of home-based online businesses I will discuss in this article.

If you plan to provide a service, what kind of service will you provide? Will it be provided to people who own websites? Will it be a service that everyone can use or will it be confined to your area?

Ask similar questions if you plan to sell a product. Will it be a product that you sell and deliver locally, nationally or internationally? If you choose around the world, do you know anything about shipping your product abroad? The same applies to national delivery. Do you know the costs associated with delivering your product anywhere in the country where you live?

Once you have answered these questions, you will have more of an idea on how your home web business will eventually be shaped.

Then you will need a domain name. Most people think that the name of their business is the best way to get a domain name, however, a generic domain name with keywords associated with your product or service will serve you a lot better. You can also register your company name as a domain name and direct it to your website, but it is not necessary.

The generic domain name can help you with search engine traffic and can be more memorable. This is just one of many factors that will help you with search engine optimization, but it's a step you should take at startup. Example: Cars.com is a better domain name than Ford.com, even though Ford has spent millions advertising and branding itself. Even cheapusedcars.com is better because people will look for that.

You have to find a good domain name registrar, not a cheap domain registrar. Cheap means cheap in the field of domain names. Your domain name is important. Spending $ 25 a year on a registrar who offers more services and quality VS spending $ 10 or less at a cheap registrar is what we are talking about here. If this extra $ 15 a year will make or break your home business, then maybe you should not start one.

Then you will need a web hosting service. Again, cheaper is not better. There are good hosting services for $ 100 a year or even a little less. Anyone who offers you hosting for less than that should trigger a red flag. Choose and pay for at least a year, just as you have registered your domain name. If you are going with a monthly plan, you are probably not fully engaged in your new home business.

Now you have your domain name and hosting your new website, but where is the website and how can I get it? You have several options. You can learn HTML and build your own. You can use a WYSIWYG editor like FrontPage to create your own website. You can hire someone to build your website for you.

First, let's talk about learning HTML to build your own website for your home business. There is a learning curve here. This is the best option of the three that I mentioned above, but it takes time to learn. You will probably not be operational in a few days with this option. In the long run, it will save you a lot of money to learn HTML and build your own websites. The more websites you have in your wallet, the more you will have at least one who will be a big winner. Writing your own code means that you can create a new site as often as you want.

Then build your own home-based business website with a WYSIWYG publisher. (What you see is what you get). These editors are similar to creating a document. Everything is visual and you do not need to

Code a piece.

Then hiring a web designer to build your home business website is another option. A professional website designer knows how to give your website the look and feel you need. However, be careful when choosing a web designer. I will add a few things that you need to be aware of here;

1. If they say they will register the domain name for you, say no. Registering a domain name is not technically difficult. Do it yourself. Many web designers register the domain name at the cheapest place they can find, then charge you $ 100 or more per year for the domain name. Then, many of them record it in their own name! This will cause you huge problems if you decide to stop using their services. The domain name should always be in your name.

2. Ask them which program they use to build your website. If they will be using FrontPage or Dreamweaver or another WYSIWYG publisher, you may as well build your own home business website. If they do not write HTML from scratch, then they should not be in the web design business.

3. If they want to bill you monthly to run your website for you, be careful. Do not sign annual contracts. Their job is to build you a home business website. Let them stick to that. Most designers are just designers. They are not search engine gurus, business leaders, or anything else. Hire a designer to design and others to do what they are good at.

4. Do not let them talk about features you do not need. Just like used car salesmen, they will try to make you add a lot of bells and whistles you do not need.

5. A brochure website is one that is basically designed to just let people know what products or services you are providing and to contact you for more information. Usually it's a main page, a page about, and a contact page. It should not cost you more than $ 500.

6. If you are going to add the ability to purchase your product or service by paying for it through your home-based business website, then it becomes an ecommerce website. Again, pay attention to the bells and whistles that the used website seller is trying to sell you. PayPal is a good option when you are starting out. You can get a PayPal account easily. You can create your own purchase buttons and insert them into your website with the code they provide without being an HTML guru. You can even set the shipping costs and everything else via PayPal for free. They charge small percentages per sale, but the services they provide are worth it. In addition, they have no setup fees or monthly fees like other e-commerce solutions. When your sales volume reaches thousands of dollars a month, you can look for a better solution, but until then, use PayPal.

7. An old adage among those who make money on the web is "You build the first for the show and the rest for the dough". What does this mean? You will probably be very concerned about the appearance of your website at first, but the design is the least important aspect of your home web business. Many will disagree, but who cares? Let me repeat, design is the least important aspect of your home business. A beautiful website without traffic becomes uglier every day. An ugly website with the traffic that makes money becomes more beautiful by the dollar. Create a total budget for your home web business. Do not spend more than 30% of this budget on design. Spend the rest of your website promotion, advertising and other actions that bring you customers. Do not let a designer tell you that his design is more important than the success of your home-based business.

Now that your domain name, hosting and website are up and running, you now need customers. Where do you find them? I have my website, will not they find me now? NO, they will not do it.

There are many things you can do to get traffic. You can buy AdWords from Google, MSN (coming soon), or Yahoo. This sends you traffic from people who are looking for specific keywords. Pay attention to bidding and set your spending limits until you see what keywords will earn you.

Promoting Your Content Effectively So That It Gets Noticed

Writing great, effective, valuable content is absolutely critical to the success of your brand. However, once you have written that amazing content, you still need to promote it so that other people pay attention to what you are sharing with them and to what you are offering them.

The many purposes of your content
You probably already understand this really well but your content serves many valuable purposes. One of the most important purposes is that it should elevate your brand and enable you to bring your business to the next level. Of course, that will only happen if you promote your content effectively so that other people pay attention to what you are doing, buy into your approach, tell other people about your offerings, and become loyal to you on an enduring basis.

There are several steps that you can take in order to cause your content to get noticed.

Send out Email blasts: The fact is that If you have a person's Email address, they opted in at some point in the past. Otherwise, you wouldn't have the Email address. That is just common sense. So, with that in mind, it makes perfect sense for you to send out a targeted Email blast to your Email recipients. Because you already have an established connection with those recipients, there is a really good likelihood that they will open your Email and (hopefully) read it in its entirety.

Your Email blast is married to whatever content you are posting at the time. You will want to post the content and then send out the Email blast. You don't want to do it the other way around. Without the Email, there is a much smaller chance that your online connections will be aware that you have just posted the content that you want them to read. Don't forget to include a call-to-action (CTA) in your Email. That is the way that your recipients will connect with you (whether that means clicking on a link, Emailing you back, or some other means of communication).

You will want to keep track of the responses to the Email blast so that you can include it in your analytics (to make sure that you identify what is working and what is not). These data are extremely important to your business. After a certain number of days (within a week after you have sent out the first Email blast), resend the Email blast. There may be many people who didn't open your Email the first time around who will open it the next time around. Their not having opened it may have nothing to do with anything more serious than the fact that they were busy and distracted at the time when they received it from you.

Engage your connections as much as possible: The only way to truly secure a solid relationship with the other person is to engage that person as much as possible. If you are not sure how to go about engaging, there is a great deal of information online that can help you with that. Assuming that you are a member of the most effective social networks, you should start there. Each one gives you the opportunity to engage other people. Not only will you be able to do that but you can do it in a really effective, really deep way. That is exactly what social networks are made for.

As far as engaging is concerned, you should just jump right in there. When you are doing the research to determine which groups are the right groups for your business, it is important that you identify groups that are relevant to what you are doing and appropriate. After you have identified those groups, join them and start to become a valued part of the discussion. As thought-provoking questions and comment on what other people are saying. Engaging other people is an extremely important part of your brand and it will help you to bring your business to the next level. There are many opportunities to engage other people and you just need to identify which ones are the best fit for your brand and your business.

Connect with other people through your social media channels: You have golden opportunities to connect with other people online in many different ways. One of those ways is social media channels. Interacting with your fans and followers is a great way to promote your content. Once you have discussed your content, you can expect many of those people to want to read your content. That is certainly effective promotion. If you aren't sure where to find people who you believe would be interested in the topics that you write about, search for groups that are related (or mention) those particular topics.

As you are searching, you should put in the right keywords and/or key phrases. That will help you to identify the right groups and the right people. You can use the keywords and/or key phrases that you have used in your content. Another part of your connecting with other people through social media channels is identifying the influencers with whom you would like to share a connection. Those influencers will help you to bring your business to the next level.

Once you have established those connections with influencers, you can allow the influencers to carry you to the next step by using their name/influence to interest other people in what you are doing. That will be very attractive to your other online connections.

Try to get your content included in many different ways and places: You have something really valuable when it comes to your content and it definitely needs to be shared with other people. In fact, when given the opportunity, the other people would definitely agree with that. You just need to make them aware of what you have to say.

Part of the answer to that is about the exposure of your content. If you are able to post your content in many different places on a regular basis, other people will start to get used to seeing your posts, reading them, interacting with you, and become loyal to your brand. That is exactly how it works.

Conclusion
Your content is essential to the success of your business. However, that doesn't only mean that you need to write top-quality content. It also means that you need to promote your content so that other people have the opportunity to benefit from your words of wisdom. You have a lot to offer. Perhaps, you have a lot more than you are even aware of. However, it is very important that you spend your time and energy promoting your content in an efficient, effective way.

Your time is extremely valuable, just as is the time of other people. The bottom line is that your content will be totally ineffective if you don't tell other people about it. After all, you are not in it all by yourself. You need other people to ensure your brand's success.

3 In-Demand Virtual Assistant Jobs From Home

Many people are aspiring to find virtual assistant jobs from home. Looking for jobs online is quite a stressful moment for every aspiring applicant, and some don't even have an idea of what job to choose. There are lots of factors that affect a person's decision in picking for a job to apply on, some of these are: if the skills and traits they possess are fit for the job, hourly and monthly salary rates, and the difficulty of the jobs that clients mostly give. Here are three jobs that clients need a virtual assistant to do.

1. Graphics Designing - Clients need virtual assistants that can make graphic designs. Visual planners make visual ideas, utilizing PC programming or by hand, to impart thoughts that rouse, illuminate, and spellbind shoppers. They build up the general format and generation outline for different applications, for example, notices, leaflets, magazines, and corporate reports. As a graphic designer, you should have your client's vision realized. An honest to goodness readiness to comprehend and feel for the design client's wants and difficulties go far. It's tied in with satisfying their brief in a way that is proper to their brand - not kneading your design sensibilities. Standard pay rates for graphic designers is 2-5$ per design or an hourly rate of 8-12$ per hour.
According to Anthony Wood (2015), there are ten essential traits a graphic designer must have and these are communication, curiosity, passion and drive, openness, ability to take criticism, problem solving, self-doubt, patience, reliability, and evolution.

2. Social media manager - online businesses need a VA to manage advertisements and customers inquiries on social media sites. Numerous companies have seen the magnificent esteem and advantage in social media marketing. You've perceived how Social media drives quality movement, leads, and deals and lifts your online notoriety. The social media manager is an exceptionally energetic, imaginative individual with encounter and enthusiasm for associating with present and future customers. That energy comes through as he/she connects with customers daily, with a definitive objective of transforming fans into customers. Full-time Social media managers usually receive a rate of 250-600$ per month (5 skills a social media manager must have, click on this link: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jaysondemers/2015/06/08/5-skills-your-social-media-manager-must-have/#73655f7cac56).

3. Content writer - Website content writing goes for importance and pursuit capacity. Importance implies that the site content ought to be valuable and useful to web users. Pursuit capacity shows the utilization of catchphrases to help web indexes guide web users to sites that meet their inquiry criteria. Composing on the web is unique compared to creating and developing substance for printed materials. Web users tend to filter message as opposed to understanding it nearly, skipping what they see to be pointless data and chasing for what they view as generally important. Content writers are online workers that specialize in written content. Standard pay rates for content writers extends from 300$ up to 500$ a month or an hourly rate of 3$ to 15$.

According to https://www.scripted.com/content-marketing/what-is-a-content-writer, there are six skills a content writer must have, and these are:
· Having a solid grammar and style
· Excellent researching ability
· Can write quickly and keep up with deadlines.
· Must write in a variety of tones, on a variety of subjects, within a variety of structures.
· Having a strong knowledge of the field to write
· Creative ability to build up content ideas

As an online worker, always remember that there is a wide variety of online jobs and services a virtual assistant can offer. If you are still starting in this kind of work, don't think much of the salary but think of every job you receive as your training ground to be a better and well-rounded VA.

Pick A Problem You Can Solve?

One of the keys to successful digital product creation is picking a problem you can solve. Too often, many new Internet marketers will choose to create a product they like, but that usually doesn't solve a problem that is currently in the marketplace. As a result, there is no real demand for that product.

The common result in this case is that the person will go to a great deal of time and effort to create his/her product, but when no or few sales comes through, the person becomes disillusioned by the prospect of making a profitable living online, calls it "a scam," and often returns to their dreary job, figuring it's the only way to "make it in the world."

To have an in-demand product, you need to create a product that solves a problem. If this problem is widespread throughout the industry, and you develop an effective solution for it, people from all across the industry will want to get their hands on your item, setting you up for some nice profits. Thus, it is critical that you find a problem you can solve, then develop a solution for it, whether it's an e-book with information of an effective solution for the problem, a software program that can alleviate the problem, a membership site with information and resources that can solve the problem, etc.

You may be wondering, "how do I identify a problem I can solve?" Here, you will need to do some observation and some research. Some of the best ways is to go to your favorite search engine, type in the industry or topic you are interested in along with "+ forums." This should bring up a list of online forums that serve the people in that industry or who deal with that topic. You can go to these forums and read about the current topics and issues being dealt with in that industry. You may have to register at these forums first in order to access some sections of them, but this is not the case at all forums.

If an issue or problem continues to be brought up by several members of a forum, chances are that this is a problem you can build a product around in an effort to solve or alleviate it. This is a problem that is demanding a solution, and you have the opportunity to provide that solution and make good profits by doing it, plus build your reputation as a problem solver and solution creator.

You can also read about various topics and information in online newsletters, magazines, and ezines related to your industry to find potential problems that you can build a product around. Oftentimes, there are statistics in publications regarding common problems people in an industry are facing; if the statistics indicate a great deal of people are struggling with that same problem or issue, you have a potential product idea to build around.

Work-At-Home Hacks For People Just Like Me

There are rules of thumb but there are no hard and fast rules. The 'things people do every day to become successful' in what they do has so many variables.

Some swear by morning coffees, others a 20-minute nap. Give or take, that's almost always the story. Like I said, variables.

Routine, or better yet, discipline is what makes people successful. I will never claim to be a 'successful person' but what I HAVE been doing is working from home for the past 18 years. I hope you can share YOUR story about how you soften the rough edges off of your everyday work week too because it helps. Every little bit of advice helps, actually, because most successful people listen.

1. No Emails - Most people start their days off by rolling off their beds with everyone screaming at them. Your alarm is screaming. Your boss is screaming, your kids are screaming, your email is screaming. So, one of the things that I DON'T do early in the morning is to check my emails. People who know me know not to expect an instant reply from me early in the morning. That's when I am trying to sort my shit together so that I can get stuff done for you throughout the day. So, no emails in the morning. Only coffee is allowed.

2. Stay Dressed - This one is for those who work from home. One of the things that I've noticed in nearly 2 decades is that I dress for work (even if I will be in my home office or living room) the whole time I am going to be working. I don't know about you but the moment I slip on my cutesy 'lil comfy clothes, my zest for life and roaring enthusiasm to get things done slithers off from me like a layer of dead skin cell.

3. Meditate -Oprah's said it. So did Deepak Chopra and Cameron Diaz. It's not the woo-woo-woo stuff, trust me. It's more like sitting there in complete silence or with soft music gently caressing my ear, or just sweeping the floor (the movement is meditatively repetitive, try it!). Instead of thinking of it as a 'new age fad', think of it as Loading Your Gun Ready to Kick Down the Doors of the World. Badass when reworded, huh? I use an app to 'help me along' - Insight Timer. It has music, guided meditation, and... well... complete silence.

4. Don't multitask - It's something I was really proud of and multitasking was the only way for me to move the needle forward when the list of things-to-do was just way too long. I don't do it anymore. Instead, I think doing things in spurts is far more productive. One example would be that if I found vacuuming the floor THE daunting task of the day, I would mindfully vacuum the living room and leave the rooms and kitchen for tomorrow.

Silly example, I know, but when applied to work, it's pretty amazing when you give the tasks at hand short bursts of active, productive attention. When I am tired, I will come back with a whole lot more to contribute AFTER I've dealt with my brain fog instead of muscling through it. I mean, who am I to argue with the chemicals in my brain?

5. Coffee - I am just going to leave this right here. Explaining it any further is going to make me angry if you don't understand it. It's my survival poison.

6. Laugh a Little - A sense of humor provides a buffer against the build-up of stress and anxiety in your system. So, occasionally, load up your Tumblr or Twitter (where you are encouraged to follow people like 9gag - just a personal preference, of course) and just laugh a little.

Experts say that humor provides a powerful buffer against stress and fear. "Humor is about playing with ideas and concepts," said Martin, who teaches at the University of Western Ontario. "So whenever we see something as funny; we're looking at it from a different perspective. When people are trapped in a stressful situation and feeling overwhelmed, they're stuck in one way of thinking: This is terrible. I've got to get out of here. But if you can take a humorous perspective, then by definition you're looking at it differently - you're breaking out of that rigid mind-set."

7. Being understanding - I know this doesn't fit into the normal mold of 'things people do to be successful' but I think it's pretty important. Because most of us work with others, whether in the office or remotely, we often assume that people are being evil of mean when they're being a little less than nice to us. Sometimes, it's because they're tired just like you, exhausted just like you, overwhelmed just like you, have to pay bills just like you, are worried about their kids/parents just like you, or simply had an argument with a friend/spouse just like you.

I think this point is particularly important in the digital world. With the digital divide, we sometimes forget that we're dealing with human beings. Just like you.
