Google Secrets to Make Money With Affiliate Marketing

Now that you have seen the Keyword Research Tool, we can discuss the importance and role of keywords to the level of your achievement. It is also important to decide on a niche, so you know which direction to take. Direction is so much more important than speed because 97% of affiliate marketers are going nowhere fast. The only difference is that the 3% built their Online Empire with Keywords as the foundation. You are looking for keywords with a high search volume and a low competition within your niche.

There are three kinds of Primary Keyword Research Steps known as;

Short Tail Keywords - Are single keywords and often referred to as Primary Keywords. These are the keywords that you want present in your domain name, but be objective and precise. Let's use the Dieting Niche for demonstration. Good Short tail keywords will then be Health, Diet and Weight. These three particular keywords get searched around 982,000 times on Google Per Month. That's almost a Million Searches, can you see where this keyword thing is going?

Long Tail Keywords - These are normally no more than Three Keywords making up a Keyword Phrase. Within the Niche we're using for demonstration, lose weight, losing weight, lose weight fast, and fast weight loss are excellent Long Tail Keywords. They are searched around 564,100 times on Google Per Month. But you will have to research the keywords relevant to your niche, which means your results will be different. Long Tail Keywords are being used in your Site, and Posts Title. It works really well if the Long and Short tail Keywords are combined.

Anchor Text - These are Longer Keyword Phrases and refer to the phrase someone will type into their browser to search a specific interest. The kind of search someone would enter when they are much more likely to buy. For this demonstration, how to lose weight, how to lose weight fast, and want to lose weight are great examples. Anchor text is what must be present on your site's home page, the Google Spider love seeing this and it helps with ranking. These anchor texts are searched 852,300 times on Google Per Month. Now combine the results of the three tests we've just done.

Yes, 2,398, 400 Searches on Google Per Month for the three search categories combined. By now you must realize the potential of proper keyword research, and why the 3% get to make those disgusting amounts of money online! This article will Simplify the Basics of SEO, what to include in Headers with Titles and even Categories, Tag Lines and Single tags. There is also the Site Map within Google Search Console.

Identifying the H1 Heading - May sometimes also be a Post or Blog Page Title but this usually refer to the Blog, Site or Video Title. The H1 Heading is where you include the Primary Search Phrases you wish your Site or Video to Rank for in Google within 15 - 65 Characters. It is important to preferably keep the H1 Heading within 60 Characters, because the H1 Heading will appear at the top in Google Search Result pages. Make the H1 Heading both Easy to Read and to Remember.

Identifying the H2 Heading - This is usually the Blog Post Title and once again the desired Search Phrases and Keywords need to populate this Heading. Numbers play a huge role with H2 Headings, and strangely enough uneven numbers have a more striking effect, combine this with a "Reason Why" kind of suggestion and you have a winner H2 Heading.

Identifying the H3 Header - Post Titles often also make up the H3 Header, along with Widget Descriptions within the Blog Side Bar. When you use the Text Widget to load HTML code, then the "Alt=" Attribute usually appear as an H3 Header.

A Blog post Title also appears as an H3 Header when you use an SEO Plugin like "All in One SEO Tools" and your Blog Post Title appears after the forward slash (/) to the Primary Domain. Using an SEO Plugin will allow you to submit all your individual pages, posts, tags and categories as individual site maps.

Identifying the H4 Header - This can be defined as something like the Tagline to you Blog Title Tag or H1 header. A Logo image is also often accepted as an H4 header within certain Plugins which may display a logo icon.

The Site Map Description - Your Blog Site Map is extremely important, and for this you simply install the Plugin "Google XML Site Maps". This Plugin will share an updated your Blog Site Map to the Google Search Console each time you make changes, but the changes may take a while (Normally 2 - 3 Weeks) to show up in Search Results.

It is however important to manually check for the Site Map Acceptance from inside the Google Search Console, even with the Google Site Maps Plugin Activated. There may be times when certain errors occur with your Blog Site Map inside Google, which means Google cannot find your Blog.

You have to then test the site map with the tools provided from within the Google Search Console, fix the errors found from inside your Blog C-Panel and test the Site Map again. When the results return with Zero errors found, you simply delete the old site map and upload the new site map.

Accessing the Google Search Console you will need a Google account, as with all the Free Tools Google gives you and it's a Lot. You simply need to look in the right places and then take your time getting to know how to use the tools. Simple Search your Browser (Preferably Chrome) for the search phrase "Google Search Console" and simply follow the instructions after opening the link on the search result page.

The Blog Site Map is what Search Engine Spiders use to Crawl your Blog so it can be categorized correctly, sending the right visitors your way. This is why the presence of Keywords and Search Phrases are so important throughout all content on your Blog, just the right ones in the right positions.

The Keys To Getting What You Want

I would like to let you know what qualifies me to mentor you. My name is Dr. Mark L. Huddleston. I started my exciting journey April 14th, 1998. I experience a quantum shift in paradigms. I went from disbelieving to believing. I went from being a pessimist to an optimist. Instead of seeing the glass half empty, I began to see the glass half full and opportunity all around me. I will never forget that day as long as I live. I remember waking up in a total panic. I remember that I was totally broke. I was bringing home $7,000 a month and my rent on my apartment was only $800 a month. After all my bills were paid I had over $5,000 to myself to spend, so why was I broke?

I had to do some soul searching. I had to try to make sense of what was happening in my life before it was too late. My health was failing me, and my mental state of mind was dwindling also. The only difference between me and millions of people from around the world was that I was facing my demons and trying to make sense out of doing so.

During my soul searching, I recognized that all people were given the number one power ever given to any animal on this planet. That power, is the power to choose. Even if you choose not to choose, you have made a choice to choose.

I found out in a few hours that I had no clue to what I wanted out of life. I also found out that I was supporting a bunch of freeloaders that lived in my apartment complex. I found that I was buying my so-called friends. I also found that I was the one initiating the contact all the time with those so-called friends. The only time they ever seemed to come around was then they wanted something. They never seemed to come around when they had money or anything of value. This was a wake-up call for me. I realized that I did not have any friends at all. Even the members of my family were scum. I recognized that I always initiated the contact with them also.

From that sunny day in April on, I would never be the same person that I presently was. I made a vow with God that I would change and be the best that I could possibly be in anything that I ventured into. From that sunny day in April I swore to become engaged in personal self-development.

I realize on that sunny in April that I lived in the greatest country on the planet and there was no reason why I should be in the predicament that I was in. I knew that there was something holding me back from my purpose on earth.

The first thing I did was to sit down and set some attainable goals. Then I had to come up with a list of things I wanted out of life. I concluded that if I wanted anything out of life I first had to know what I wanted. Not knowing what you want is like starting out on a trip without knowing your destination and what direction to travel in. Your chance of reaching an unknown destination in an unknown direction by driving on an unknown road for an unknown length of time is just plain absurd.

What is needed is you to have a destination in life. This would be your life goal. You need a target to aim at. How can you hit your target if you don't first take aim at it? That's like a blind man entering a skeet shooting contest and expecting to win. The reason why people fail is that they do not know what they truly want. So, they wander aimlessly through life looking for something that never materializes. They go around in circles, chasing their own tail, only to come back to where they first started. They think they're going up, when they're really sinking down.

So, the first thing you want to do is, find out what you want to do and make a plan to accomplish it. What is your end-game? Are you looking for happiness? Are you looking for love? Are you wanting to be successful? Do you want to be wealthy? What is it that you want? Just know, that you can have anything you desire, but you first have to know what you want before you can obtain it.

I found out that getting what you want in life can be as simple as making the right choices. You must decide what, when, and how you will go about getting what you want. Consciously or subconsciously, your mind is continuously confronted by the necessity of making choices. You must decide if you will do something or not. There is no such thing as not deciding. Even if you choose not to choose, you have made a choice. Choosing to do nothing is a choice which may well determine whether or not you get what you want, just ask anyone that has dropped out of school!

Always know that you cannot avoid the necessity of constantly making choices. If you try to avoid or delay making a choice, you are choosing to do nothing and that is a choice which can affect your life as much, or perhaps more, than deciding to do something. If you do nothing you are guaranteed to be nothing. If you do something, you are guaranteeing yourself the possibility of getting what you want. You must choose which action to take, which group to join, which cause to advocate, which job to take, which city to live in, and which life style you choose to live.

This article cannot make these decisions for you because these choices will have to be your own personal choices to make. This article gives you the knowledge to make you aware of your choices you make and the consequences that come along with the choices you make.

The last key to getting what you want would be self-development. You need to learn how to get what you want. If you don't know how to get what you want, you will never obtain it. I began to pick up every book I could get my hands on that interest me. I wanted more out of life, so I began to absorb anything and everything that I came in contact with.

I began getting mentored by some of the greatest minds in the world today. People like, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Les Brown, Jim Rohn, Robert Kiyosaki, Steven Covey, and Jack Canfield, just to name a few. Can you imagine being mentored by people like this? If you seek, you will find. Just know, when the student shows up, the teacher will appear.

I learned what the law of attraction can do for a person. I learned what you put out is what you receive back on most cases. This law stands true to this day. There are several elements that you may want to apply to your daily routine.

1. You will want to use the power of positivity to propel you into successful action and enable you to motivate others to act in your behalf to help you get what you want. Positive attitude is what ignites the soul and gives you the personal power to turn others on! Positive attitude will give you the lift you need to get what you want.

2. The methods shared with you in this article taught me about personal development which is the easiest, fastest, way to improve the quality of your life. Your friends, family, and the people that you know that you want to impress will noticed the positive change within you once you begin your personal improvement journey. Only through self-development can you earn, deserve and get what you want in life. Know that your rewards in life are in direct proportion to the services you provide.

3. Understand, that you cannot obtain the help and win the required cooperation of others by pressure or by force. Pressure creates resistance. Force creates enemies. And resistance and enemies are things you don't need in your life if you want to get what you want in life.

You can obtain the enthusiastic cooperation of others by using the power of self-development and the power of attraction to get others to do what you want them to do. So, right now you will want to get started. It is up to you and you only to create a positive boldness in your life. Once this begins to happen you will begin to radiate an enthusiastic aura from your being. You will begin to look like a success! You will begin to act like a success! You will begin to be successful by undertaking in the many things you will learn by investing in yourself.

I truly hope that this article has helped you. Helping others is what keeps me motivated and inspired. I believe that we all must motivate, inspire, and encourage others throughout our lives if we want the world to be a better placed to live. We must become that change we want in life. The reason why I feel you should read my articles over other people's articles would be that I write from true life happenings. I know without a doubt that if you were to follow the advice I share with you that your life will exponentially change. 8 Home Based Business Ideas

It is very possible to make a good living right from the comfort of your own home! Yes it is! Because, I personally know people who have been working from home for many years now. So, the question is not, "Is it possible?", but the question is, "Will you do it?".

The truth is, if you are a stay at home mother, a House-Wife, or if you're just a self-employed entrepreneur, then you're gonna need to do something to bring in some income. You can't just stay in that house and do nothing, because those bills are not gonna pay themselves! So, you gotta get cracking!

There is no one size fits all approach to establishing a good home-based business, because everyone is different and unique. But, here are 8 home-based business ideas that you might consider.

1. Daycare / Babysitting Services

If you are good with children, then why not consider making a living off them? You can totally turn your living room into a kid friendly daycare spot!

You can charge per child for the week or for the day. This can really bring you in some serious cash, because face it, people can't take their children to work with them all the time. So, a professional woman or a working man may need an extra set of eyes and hands to look after their little booger while they are at work or running errands.

To be successful with this home-based business, you are going to need to be well organized and very punctual. You need to be on time with this one, because you may be getting clients in the early morning or needing to collect kids at the late evening time.

2. Personal Assistant / Office Administrator

If you are a professional at heart, then this might be a great home-based business venture for you.

Plenty of entrepreneurs, start-up attorneys, artists, musicians, and freelancers require administrative help. You can easily provide that office hand that they need to make their business run smoothly and easily.

If you find one single client, you can make some good top dollars. But, if you decide to accept a few clients, then you can even pull in way more!

This type of home-based business would be ideal for a person who has a history of working in an office setting.

3. Tutoring Services (Instrument - Academics - Computers)

If you have an area of expertise, you can totally turn that into a money maker! Tutoring, teaching what you know, and helping others to become proficient in a subject will never go out of style.

If you are serious about your approach, you can easily find yourself booked all up for every day of the week with a client!

Give lessons in guitar, or teach word processing in Microsoft Word, or even give lessons in math, history, or language arts. Really, the only limitations are the ones you put on yourself.

4. Tarot / Psychic Readings

This one may seem a bit different and odd, but the truth is, it still qualifies as something you can totally do from home.

If you're into this type of work, you can easily pull in a decent weekly or daily income.

You can provide services via phone, or you can have clients come visit you.

Many of your clients are simply seeking a mutual talking face to face buddy. Someone who is gonna speak positive to them and help them sort their own spiritual path out.

5. Book Authoring / Writing

You have some great ideas and some stunning stories floating around in your head! It's time to bring them to life! Becoming a book author might be the perfect thing for you.

If you sat down and wrote just a few hours a day, you can put out nearly a dozen books for the year! Writing a book isn't hard at all, but it only requires discipline and focus.

The money might trickle in at the start, but if you continue to write, you will eventually build up a loyal readership.

As long as you produce quality content, the books will basically sell themselves.

Also, you can blog, and write articles, and make money off of marketing in your articles or via donations that readers make because they love your style so much!

6. Personal Laundry Services

This is a different one, but it still makes the list! Face it, people can't go to work smelling like butt and feet! Those clothes must be washed! You might be the perfect person for the job too.

Don't overlook this one. It's the jobs that nobody wants to do that you can truly make a killing off of.

People can bring their laundry to you at the end of the week, and you can have them fresh and smelling clean for the next week to come. Even, if they dropped the clothes off at the start of the week, you can have them done in a day or so.

7. Food Catering Services

If you're a Chef at heart, then this might be your calling! Put your apron on and get busy.

You can create a menu, which would be the foods that you prepare the best and the most often. Then, you can have your clients place their orders in advance.

You can service big events if you're up for the tasks, but you can also do small jobs too. Cook for your entire building or town, or provide catering for weddings, birthdays, and even baby showers! The possibilities are only limited to your imagination.

8. Barber / Hair Stylist

Do you have that magic touch when it comes to hair? Because, you so could make a great living doing hair right from your own home!

Many people are not too good at doing their own hair, but the thing is, they still need to look decent and presentable. This is where you come in and save the day!

Usually Hair Stylist charge per session, but you can be super creative. If you cut hair or braid often, then you can consider a monthly service fee, and keep a regular in your chair. This way, it won't feel like a hustle to you, because the money is already set in place.

Working from home can truly be a great option for many. Don't forget that there are pros and cons with just about everything you can think of though! Because, working from home may be super convenient. You won't have to worry about commuting or travel expenses. You don't have to worry about a boss hanging over your shoulder either! But, since your work is at home, you won't have a place that you can fully retreat to and relax. Plus, since you're home, you may be tempted to dine a bit more, use more electricity, and the expenses of your home may generally increase a bit.

Regardless of where you work, the most important thing to keep in mind is that you enjoy what you're doing. Because when you enjoy what you're doing, you will be able to do a super good job!

Get Free Marketing From YouTube

Why should you take the time to market on YouTube? There are a lot of other sources for advertising that you can consider, so why would YouTube be one of the options that you put on your list. There are actually the number of reasons why YouTube can work so well, sometimes way better than the other avenues, and this can be true no matter what type of product or service you are trying to sell.

Free marketing!

Firstly, and importantly if you don't have a large marketing budget, YouTube is free. While you will need to invest a bit of your time to figure out your target audience and to create the videos that you want to use, being able to upload and even make the videos that you want to upload will be completely free. What is another advertising source going to be free?

Video content is really powerful

In a world that is moving more and more online, content is king. And out of all this content, video content is some of the best. Many times people would rather watch information about a product or service online rather than read about it. Also, there is a chance that your video could go viral. If you make a video that is particularly good, emotional, funny, or something else, your video could have the potential to go viral in no time. What going viral means is that there could be thousands of people who will share your video with others they know. If it does really well, this could mean that your business is exposed to an infinite amount of people.

YouTube also appeals to a global and a local audience (perfect for local search success. Based on the types of keywords that you use, your video could be seen by people all over the world. You could even end up with clients from other countries if it all goes well. If you are worried about the reach going too far because you are just a local business, it is possible to change this so that you are only found by people in your region.

Demonstrate your expertise on YouTube

YouTube is fabulous for demonstrating your expertise. You can spend your videos giving away great tips, which help to show your viewers that you are the expert in your particular field. For many customers or clients that you are going after, they will have a choice between two businesses and you want to make sure that they pick you. If you have videos on YouTube that show why you are a good choice, this will help your business to stand out.

Make it once and let it sell for you

Just because you just spend a little bit of time on a video and then post it doesn't mean the work your video is doing is all done. Making a video is like one of the best salespeople in the world. You only have to make the video once and then load it to YouTube. Then the video can go to work, being available any time of the day or night that someone wants to take a look at it. And for each new video you create, you are making a new salesperson. There is really no limit to what you can do with this.

YouTube provides the customer with a face

Sometimes what you need is to provide the customer with a face, a person they can trust, in order to form that connection to make the sale. And since it is impossible for you to go out there and meet all of your customers, creating a video that can do this work for you can really help If you are camera shy, you can make a video that is in PowerPoint and then add in a headshot so people can still see how you look.

Search engine friendliness

Videos on YouTube are very SEO friendly as YouTube is owned by Google. This is really important. When someone is doing a search online, it is likely that a video is going to hold onto a top spot during the organic searches. If this ends up being your video, this is a big deal because for one reason or another, and your hard work, your video is standing out above the other links. And of course, more people are going to see your video if it is a ranked high in search results, however much you concentrate on your onsite SEO tactics.

When it comes to marketing your business, there really isn't a site that is better than working with YouTube. This website will allow you to make some content that will connect with the customers and if you do the process right, which we will discuss more in later chapters, you are going to get some of the best conversion rates and sales ever.

Essential Tips to Get Your Website Quickly Indexed in Google

Whenever we create a new website, our prime target is to get indexed by Google as soon as possible. Though there is no time guarantee as when your site will be indexed by the search engine, but there are certain steps that can help you to avoid the worst case scenario and get the search engines working for you. According to Google, crawling and indexing are processes that may take time and often rely on various factors. Predictions and guarantees cannot be made as when the URL will be indexed.

So, in this article, we will take up some factors that should be considered for quick indexing of your site in Google.

Understand what is indexing

Most of you may not be aware of the term indexing. In SEO, it refers to the search engines that keep a record of the web pages of your site. When the search engine bots starts to crawl your site based on index and no index meta tags, it continues to add pages with index tags. In simple words, it is the spider's way of processing and gathering the data from the pages during its crawl, which helps to improve your search results. The spider notes the new changes and documents and adds them to the searchable index that Google maintains. Google's algorithm goes to work and decides where to rank the page among all others based on the keywords.

Enter your URL on the Google's URL submission page:

Once your new website or pages are created, you can visit Google's Submit URL page and then type the URL in the box, check the captcha and hit the Submit Request button. But for this, you need to create an account on webmaster tools by using your Google account. Once it is done, you can wait for your website pages to get indexed on Google.

Create a sitemap of your site:

The next thing that you should consider is to create an XML file that stores all the links and the pages of your site so that it helps the crawlers of Google to quickly find your whole website. Whenever there are any updates or you create a blog on your site, include the link of the HTML site map on every page so that the search engine bot can index your site even if it starts from any corner of your site.

Use Google Search Console to track your site:

Google often recommends logging its Search Console once a month to check if there are any errors or dips in traffic. The site offers a variety of indexing-related tools and you will be able to confirm if Google is able to access your pages or not. You can even notify the search engine for a domain change or any changes in the address and even issue urgent blocks on your content that you want to take out off your site.

Use Robots.txt

In case you are not a developer or a coder, you might have seen a file, robots.txt in your domain files. This is a plain text file that resides in the root directory of your domain. It gives strict instruction to the spiders of the search engine about which pages they can crawl and index. When the spiders find a new domain or a file, they read the instructions before taking any action. So, your first step for your new site is to confirm that the site has a robots.txt file. This can be done by checking the FTP or by clicking on the File Manager via the CPanel.

Submit your site to blog directories:

Also ensure to create social media profiles and use sites like Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Twitter and etc. to create pages for your site and submit any new posts regularly on them.

Following some essential tips for your site will help you to index it easily on the search engines. And once the pages are indexed, the search crawlers will easily crawl your site and you will be able to secure a higher search ranking with your content.

12 Great Reasons To Have A Niche Website

A Niche Website

I've heard that there are well over 3 billion and closer to 4b internet surfers as of 2017. That's such a huge number of potential viewers to your website with the sales revenue to go along with the visitors. This can proceed from day to day, 24/7 month after month, indefinitely. Listed in this article are 12 Great Reasons To Have A Niche Website.

There is the potential to draw or attract 100,000's of visitors to your site via various methods like article writing for sites and online publications, social media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, etc., email marketing and many other methods including paid traffic.

All of these individuals from all over the world are looking for information of some sort, answers to their questions or solutions to problems and also they are looking to purchase something at the end of their search.

When your website is up and running a percentage of that internet traffic will be drawn to your site via Google search engines as well as Bing, Yahoo and the rest. Your site will show up in the search engine results pages or serp's, and searchers will click on your listing and be directed to your piece of the online real estate. They will read the site content and see what it is that you are offering that answers their search query. So you'll be helping these people and earning revenue in the process.

When you build up a niche site that will attract daily visitors your internet space becomes your point of contact with your chosen and targeted audience. Your website becomes the online platform and market where you share and care for your audience and all of those browsing the internet.

Why have a niche site

Is the whole point of having your website to simply sell a product(s) to a faceless crowd of individuals that come to our marketplace and buy with as little interacting as possible? Or is the purpose of your internet business to serve and help others in some way, to solve their problems, help them acquire information and/or purchase a product or two sold from your site?

I hope that you choose the latter of the two for a mindset because the first method will not reap the rewards as well as the latter and the visitors will possibly not be comfortable enough to make a purchase but jump to another site with more personality and service in mind.

You should choose a niche that excites you, one that you want to be active within as you build up your website and create a special place, on your internet real estate property, that will continue to grow in value as time goes by.

By answering questions, offering them quality content, on relevant topics and being there to help them in any way, the chances of them coming back and maybe even making a purchase increase. You become their authority on the subject and they become a long time customer or client of yours if all goes well. You can also recommend or promote your own or someone else's eBooks, motivational books, videos and other things related to the website niche that your visitors would like and find useful.

The important thing to remember is that real people are reading, searching and need help. They should be kept in mind before each article is written and their comments answered within a day or two.

Here are 12 great reasons to have a niche website:

Low Start-Up Cost: The financial investment for creating your own website and getting started in an online business pales in comparison to starting a brick and mortar business. For example: To start a small house painting business one would need a dependable truck, van, storage, spray machines, pressure washer, cash on hand for any number of unexpected costs that might arise, including the repair of the vehicles and machines. All of this totals thousands just to get started. Need I go on... An online business can be started and built up to a thriving revenue earning site for a few hundred dollars per year.

Having your own product is not required: There are millions of products, items, and services that you can become an affiliate to and sell online, ex. Amazon, eBay, Home Depot, CJ Affiliates, Bass Pro and hundreds of others. There are so many products that someone can promote and make a sales commission that the hardest part is to choose just what it is that you want to promote first.

No Overhead Cost: There are no offices to rent and electricity bills to pay each month or employees to hire with the taxes and workman's compensation insurance and more, all needing to be prepaid and regularly paid. In the case of an online business, all that you really need is a laptop computer, an outlet to plug into and an internet connection.

No Storage Space Required: Most offline service businesses need to have or rent a storage space for their machines, office equipment and materials. With an online business, everything is stored on the computer, backed up and easy to access.

Focus on drawing targeted customers: With a good keyword tool you can get in-depth statistics on exactly what "keywords" are used to search for an item, how many times per month and how much competition there is within that keyword. Much more information can be gained from a good keyword tool (Jaaxy Enterprise Keyword Tool) so that you can target a specific like-minded group for your outreach efforts.

No handling customer refunds or complaints: This is a good one as the affiliate just promotes the product and leaves the customer refunding and complaints to that merchant's department. The affiliate doesn't want to promote a product with a high return rate or one with a lot of complaints as there are millions of other products to promote.

Write about topics that interest you: By choosing your website niche you're also choosing the subject that you will be writing a lot of quality usable content on. Information that internet surfers can find and use to find answers, solve their problems, show them how to do something, or purchase a product.

You can earn passive income: Revenue that you earn even though you aren't actively working. Another name for passive income is residual income. With such a huge online audience there are many affiliates earning six and seven figure incomes. Most affiliates also have more than one website and some have many.

Even while you're sleeping your site is always open: This is awesome as your site is open for business in every zip code or region, 24/7, whether you're sleeping or on vacation. No need to hire someone to watch the store and take care of customer issues.

Work from home or anywhere: Another great reason for an online business is that you can be anywhere that there's an internet connection and with your laptop, you can completely run your business. It doesn't matter if you are in China or the US, with an internet connection you can run your business 24/7 from anywhere in the world.

Will generate sales income for years to come: Once the niche website is built up and starts earning revenue each month you'll keep on building and growing the business and it will bear fruit for you indefinitely and the sky's the limit as to your options and potentials.

One site is all you need to earn a full-time monthly income: This is so true, however, when you start making money online you will see other ways to earn and naturally branch out from there. Enjoy the journey but one site properly built up and optimized can pay all of your bills and much more.

Bonus:
You can have multiple websites: How many websites can you handle, some affiliates have ten or more. You can have a cool Amazon site, one for eBay, ClickBank, etc, all earning a very nice monthly income. That's how many affiliates get into the six and seven figure earnings.
Make sure that you only recommend things that are of quality and items that you would purchase for yourself. Only sell quality products because your reputation will grow continuously as time goes by, and that reputation should be for promoting quality products. Your role as an affiliate is to give an honest opinion and advice based on up to date information. You should feel like you are helping them make a wise choice or decision. I've listed only a few but there are more than 12 great reasons to have a niche website.

Great Goal-Setting Methods You Can Use

The Long & Short Goal Method

The first goal-setting method that we'll cover is probably the one that you're most familiar with. This is the setting of long-term goals that can be broken down into smaller ones. The way that these method works is by setting long-term goals that you want to achieve over a specified period of time.

For example, write down 10 goals that you want to achieve in the next five years. Then determine what short-term goals that you will have to accomplish in order to make this happen.

These short goals may be things that you can do in a week, month or it may take as long as a year. There are no time limit requirements on short-term goals. The only rule is that they lead to long-term ones.

The Checklist Method

If the above method doesn't appeal to you, then you may want to try the checklist method. The checklist method is similar to the long and short method, but it brings your task list down to a daily level. How you use this method is by creating your long-term goals. Then, make a list of things that you can do daily to achieve those goals. This will be your daily checklist. Put it on your phone or tablet, or as the background of your desktop computer, and make sure that you check off all of those goals every day. At first, it will be difficult to get used to it, but after a while, it will become second nature to finish your checklist before you go to bed.

The Journal Method

Finally, there is the journal method. The journal method simply encourages you to write your goals down in a journal or diary, and then write an entry as often as you can about what you are doing to progress towards your goals. This is a much less restrictive method than the checklist or journal and highly creative people may prefer it.

Three Financial Habits that are Preventing Your Success

When it comes to financing, some people have developed habits from the time they started handling money that has brought them some level of achievement in their lives - whether that be having good enough credit to putting money away for emergencies or future investments. But most people aren't quite as good at managing their money. You don't have to become a financial guru to be successful, but there are three habits that nearly everyone does that are very likely going to prevent you from achieving the success that you desire.

Spending Money on Convenience

One of the worst bad habits that people have, especially in the United States, is wasting money on convenience. Store owners know this too and they take advantage of it. For example, while you might be able to go to a big box department store and buy motor oil for $2.50, you'll be paying $5 or $6 if you get it at a convenience store. Knowing that you are paying a great deal more money for not much more convenience will allow you to stop yourself when you are considering it. Put that money in savings instead.

Not Keeping Good Records

Another financial habit that will make it difficult for you to be successful is not keeping good records. Keeping records of your income and expenses is important because then you know what you are earning and spending in relation to each other and can see ways that you might be able to save money. Saving money is vital to future financial success because it is available in the case of an emergency, it will help you avoid credit card debt that could block your path to wealth and it could become your startup money when the next great idea comes along.

Failing to Create or Stick to a Budget

Another thing that people do is fail to create a budget, or even if they have a budget, they often do not stick to it. This means that they are less likely to save money and will not learn the skills that are going to be required to start a business and run the financial aspect of it down the road. Creating and adhering to a budget is directly related to success in business, and many of the top entrepreneurs in the world say it is one of the most important skills to have.

How to Set Your Social Media Goals For 2018

Social media experts are everywhere and there are many varying opinions on what's ahead in the constantly changing landscape.

In this post we're going to look at setting your goals based on what you've done so far and how you should adjust it so you're getting the most out of your content marketing.

If you've never taken stock of your social media or set goals, then this is the article for you.

It's important to measure the successes and failures honestly and to set your ego aside and admit that some of what you did may have been wasted effort.

For tips on how to improve your social media try our article: How to Incorporate Content Marketing into Twitter

1. Check Your Reports

Do you keep reports? You definitely should so you can assess the efficacy of what you spent time putting online. A report can look any way you want but if you need direction Smartsheet has a free social media report template to get you started.

Look for metrics like engagement instead of impressions. With impressions and low clicks, you're doing more harm than good. Look at how your content performed and create categories for it all.

This information is like your potential leads all telling you what they liked or didn't. Take that into account when planning out 2018's content.

Each social media platform offers free analytics on the profile's performance, so you can see what you've shared that resonated and what fell flat. Look for patterns and topics that show users had consistent interest in something you can then repeat.

You can even take the step of starting paid promotion for your business if you're up for a challenge!

2. Study Your Website Analytics

Google Analytics is a great free tool provided by Google that is essential to planning your social media in 2018. Why? This is where you find out how much of what you did actually drove traffic to your business.

If you do have it set up, then check your Acquisition section for Social and then Network Referrals. You'll be able to see the past year by selecting the previous year as the date range.

This will show you just how many people have clicked on your social media posts and landed on your website.

This won't matter when it comes to what you shared but it does matter if you've done posting that points people toward your website.

You should always incorporate some sales-oriented messaging that shows your client's your business so while you don't want to be a serial self promoter you don't want to be absent any self promotion entirely.

3. Set Your Goals

The first two steps should give you an understanding of where you are and now it's time to take that information and plan where you're going.

What drew clicks? What got shared? What worked and what didn't?

If something looks off and is clearly not working then assess whether your time would be better spent elsewhere. Another issue might be the audience of a platform dwindling. Genuinely look out for platforms that have lost their audience because, while rare, it has happened in the past.

Are you spending a lot of time posting to Facebook? Try putting some of that effort into Instagram if your target market is also on that platform. On average the approximate Instagram brand follower growth is 6 - 8% per month. You may not be able to recreate that, but you should see some solid numbers if you're posting good images regularly.

When were your posts most effective? Pinterest trends show increased usage in the summer and around Christmas with spring and fall seeing big dips. Look at your reports and if you used Pinterest see if your stats align with this. Plan a posting schedule so you know when what you post will have the most effect.

When you set your goals keep in mind you may not attain them and that's fine. As long as what you're doing is honest then you're in better shape than most.

Post genuine content about your business and share content you see as having sincere value to people interested in what you do. You'll not only grow your followers and friends, but you'll grow them with people who have value to more than the possible optics of high numbers on a profile.

The most important stat is your bottom line. You are spending your time marketing yourself on social media for a reason and if you have professional social media experts helping you then you're spending your money too.

Your main goal out of all of it is: did this help my business? If the answer is no, then take into account that your previous goals (or a lack of them) were incorrect.

Don't fret doing any of this by the way. The biggest mistake you can make is to allow this to become a chore rather than a positive part of your business. When you're enjoying yourself, you'll find you share better content and you convey that emotion through to potential clients, which is much better than putting out a perception that you're agitated.

Advanced Affiliate Marketing Techniques

When choosing affiliate products to promote with your Internet marketing business, you want to pick products that cost more so that you make a higher commission per sale.

But you also want to have a whole range of products at different price points so you can keep people buying no matter how much or how little money they have.

For example, let's say you pick self-help as your niche. You should have a bunch of products that cost less than $10 - such as eBooks or video courses - because a lot of people seeking to improve themselves don't have a lot of money but still want to buy something that will make them better people.

The 'Profit Ladder'

Then you should have more expensive products in the $10 to $100 range so that you can offer them to people with more money to spend and also push your customers up the profit ladder. That means getting people to buy increasingly expensive products.

Then you should have some products that are really expensive, such as those that cost $1,000 or more. This is to appeal to people who have a lot of money to spend but also to have a big money offer that people can aspire to. A lot of times these types of products are things like personal coaching, or seminars people can attend to become masters at whatever it is they want.

Big money products not only satisfy people's desire to get the best there is, but also provide you with the biggest commissions so you can make the most money even if you only make a few sales.

Niche Statistics

Popularity of Niches

Before you start promoting affiliate products, you want to make sure the products or the niches you choose to work in are popular. You don't want to waste your time working in niches that there aren't a lot of customers. Instead, maximize your potential revenues by only working in the best niches that have scads of customers.

So how do you find out what niches are popular? Like anything else these days, you simply use the internet. There are plenty of places you can go to measure the popularity of a particular niche. The first place I always recommend is Google Hot Trends which lists the top 100 searches on Google during the previous 25 minutes.

Researching Niche Statistics Online

Google is the largest search engine and is used by more people than any other, so it is a reliable source to tell you what is hot at the present moment. Another site is Yahoo Buzz, which shows also shows the top searches but on Yahoo, which uses the Bing search engine. But Yahoo Buzz also gives a little more information than Google.

Two other similar sites are Trend Hunter and Trend Watching. These are more geared toward consumer goods, such as electronics, appliances and other hard goods rather than digital products, which are what you probably will be promoting.

Sources for Niche Data

ClickBank has a lot of information about the products it offers. A similar site that also has lot of data you can use to measure popularity is Commission Junction.

With the affiliate products you promote on ClickBank and Commission Junction, you make a commission every time somebody clicks through and buys that product.

'Cost Per Action'

But another affiliate model is called "Cost Per Action". This is slightly different because you can get paid every time somebody clicks through to a page whether they buy anything or not. Obviously, the CPA amount you are paid is usually less than that of a sales commission, but a lot of CPA click-throughs can quickly add up and make you some real money.

CPA networks for you go check out include Peerfly.com, ShareASale.com, GoOffers.net and CPALed.com.

What's So Great About Affiliate Marketing?

If you have a website or blog, affiliate marketing is a great way to monetize your online presence.

So how does it work?

Picture this situation: A friend informs you that they are selling their car but they haven't been able to find a buyer for quite a while. A couple of days later you're chatting to a colleague at work who is looking for a car just like your friend is selling. You put the two of them in touch with each other, and your friend's car is sold.

As an act of good trust and friendship your friend gives you a portion of the proceeds from the sale.

What just happened is affiliate marketing in a nutshell. You connect sellers with buyers and when a sale is made, you get a paid a commission by the seller.

The Concept Of Affiliate Marketing

The concept of affiliate marketing is that you market products or services sold by a company that is online or offline. When a sale is made, you get a commission. All the customer service issues, payment systems and product delivery, are handled by the company. Your job is to find an audience, present the products, and if someone makes a purchase you get paid.

What's So Good About It For You?

Let's say that you currently have a website or a blog. When you look at your online analytics, you'll see that some posts and pages get the vast majority of your online traffic.

After someone has read a well-liked post or page on your website, the next rational step for you as a online marketer is to think about what kind of product or service would be a natural addition to your content.

As an affiliate marketer, you can recommend a product or service to be purchased that enhances on the information you gave away for free.

Can Affiliate Marketing Work For You?

For instance, if your website content material is about dog training, then type 'dog training offers' into Google, or another popular search engine. Contact businesses you find in the search results, and tell them you would like to become an affiliate for their products and services. You'll be surprised how many companies have an affiliate program and how willing they are to get more affiliates onboard.

Apart from affiliate marketing supplying you with an additional income source, you're helping your readers and followers. It's a win-win scenario. You win, your readers win, and the company who is paying you a sales commission wins too.

Companies are happy to pay commissions to people just like you, in return for selling their products and services. You have the potential to make a great income when you choose the right niche, stay committed, and understand your audience. How To Make Money Online Today - The Basic Process

The Basic Process Of Earning Money Online

Did you know that just about everyone can be successful at earning an income online whether it be a part time or full time income. With way over 3 billion internet users whichever way that you decide to go there are many others interested in the same niche.

One of the first things that should be done prior to any niche selection is research into the niche to see just how many others are actively searching within the nook that you can connect to through various methods.

A Small Chunk Of Online Real Estate

I want to show you just how you can choose a small chunk of online real estate and develop it into a revenue producing website that keeps on giving month after month indefinitely.

I won't lie to you by saying that prior technical or internet experience doesn't matter because it does make a difference. However everybody can learn and the ones that have prior knowledge or experience can possibly put that to use, but there are a number of steps that need to be followed whether you are experienced or not.

It's obvious that some will progress at a faster pace than others due to a few different factors. So if you are a newbie to making money online or an experienced internet entrepreneur the same steps need to be followed in order for you to reach you full potential in all of your online ventures, so there's no need to be a "techie".

Don't Be Overwhelmed

I know that whenever we start something new there can be some hurtles to overcome and we can at times become overwhelmed. Accept that and take a break, maybe even a nice walk and regroup. Go back and take a fresh look and wear your "patience" cap while you break it down into small steps and overcome each obstacle one by one.

Get used to overcoming problems that are common to all and move forward because to be successful in any business, you need to be a problem solver and patient. Be someone that finishes and settles each matter as you grow in knowledge and experience each day.

I guess that its like skating or riding a bike, you might fall a time or two but when you are persistent you will see the positive results that you're seeking and accomplish the goals that lead you to success.

Don't Remake The Pathway

Keep in mind that many that wander off course and get lost also get shipwrecked and eventually quit or fall out never tasting the sought after success. Don't get distracted or confused and try to remake the pathway but regroup and stay on course to reach the desired destination. There's no doubt that if you can stick with it you'll get the needed understanding to proceed and bear fruit from your efforts.

Many are good at starting projects but successful people are those that are good at finishing projects. So find your answers and be a finisher.

Success is really an inner thing. Win every battle and overcome each hurtle or obstacle as it presents itself. By doing this the mind and spirit are trained to succeed and you'll reach your goals, don't settle for less. Everything that you do today, each step will certainly pay off in the future. The efforts that you put forth now will pay off in the future and many times will keep on paying you indefinitely, month after month.

Here's a look at how you'll be creating a continuous online income that can last as long as you live and well beyond that and can be sold or handed down to a loved one.

Step #1 is to choose a niche or interest that you like and can easily learn and write about. You can also choose something that is completely new to you if there's a passion for learning and growing within that niche.

Step #2 is to build a website or have one built for you. I would highly recommend building your own as you will need constant access to the admin dashboard for regular changes, additions and general editing. As you grow in knowledge and understanding you'll be making changes to your site and it will be transformed step by step.

Step #3 is getting traffic flowing to the site or attracting visitors. The first kind of traffic to get is the Free kind, and there is a lot of that with all of the social media, forums, etc.

Step #4 is to earn revenue. Once you have visitors coming to your site on a regular basis you'll have all of the potential to earn revenue online. There are many ways to generate income with regular traffic flow.

This is a proven process and the one that 100,000's of others are using today. It is also the ultimate " money making" process that worked years ago, is working today and will continue to produce results for years to come. This is a process that will reveal as much opportunity within the world of the internet as you are willing to go after.

These 4 steps need to be focused on one at a time and the making money part is the last step, after all else is done. Without a nice website filled with quality content followed by regular site visitors the revenue earning part at the end just won't happen.

No Rushing Allowed

It is very important not to rush or try to go to fast as making a race out of the process will breed mistakes. Going to fast will most likely leave a number of things either undone or done poorly that you'll surely be correcting at a future date.

You will reach your goals and maybe later than originally planned but a solid foundation is essential to build your online business and generate continuous revenue for yourself. With over 3 billion viewers online in 2017 searching for things continuously, information, solutions to their problems, and looking to purchase items.

This is where you will come into the picture with your website and help these seekers by offering them answers, how to information, services and products to buy. So you are helping others and earning an income at the same time.

Serve Others First

One thing that you truly need to understand is that before the sales part of your business takes place you first need to take care of those seeking help. When you provide their answers and build their trust with fine quality website content, then they will feel comfortable and possibly purchase what it is that you are offering to them.

Don't Get The Cart before The Horse

If your website and online store is not ready to open for business it might be a good idea to wait until it is. Don't allow your site to become a portal, or worse, a dump for promotions or advertisements. That would really hurt your brand integrity and your recognition as an authority within your niche.

When you help others they are far more likely to purchase what you're offering to help solve their personal situations. If you just simply try to sell them products you most likely will lose them and your profits quickly. There are to many competing sites offering quality content and products to choose from.

One more thing on the subject is that your website won't get a very good ranking with the search engines without lots of quality content. So take your time with the correct understanding that you are building an online business from scratch, first the foundation and then step by step until it's ready for your visitors to see.

This business when it's built up will serve others in some way and generate income and more visitors month to month for years to come. So take your time and enjoy your learning experience and journey.

Customer Comprehension

There is something called "customer comprehension" where you first determine just who your potential customer is and what their needs are. It's really easy to waste time and money promoting something that you think sounds great and customers should love, but don't make assumptions about your customers preferences.

Do your research and see what the facts say, gain a true understanding through keyword searches and proceed from there. Developing this habit will help you to become much more successful as time goes by as your time management will be more productive.

Let's Take A Look At This

See the steps that someone takes between the time that they learn something and the time that they actually make a purchase:

Most customers can see through a scam promotion and are very turned off by it.
Customers are exchanging their hard earned money for something that you're offering them that will improve their situation.
Customers have access to all of the information on the internet, including reviews, and can make wise choices.
Customers won't buy from someone that they don't trust.
Customers rarely buy on their first opportunity or contact point.
It typically takes about seven times before someone makes an online purchase. This can be from emails, site visits and other sources.
Bearing Fruit From Your Efforts

We all want to make a profit and bear fruit from all of our efforts but it's easy to lose track of the fact that running a business is built upon getting to know our customers and building a trusting relationship with them.

These are real people and this is a people business. Real seekers coming to your site looking for answers, reading your content and if they have a very user friendly experience at your web space, might purchase something from you. Always remember, because your success will be affected one way or the other as time moves forward.

This, as previously stated, is a time tested and proven process on how to make money online that has worked in the past and will continue to work well into the future or indefinitely.

So there you have an explanation of the two ways to earn money from the comfort of your home. One way being to get an hourly online job working for any of the 100,000's of businesses on the internet. Another very popular method is to create your own site and become an online business owner. Are you 50 and trying to start a new career so you can have more financial freedom? Is it time in your life to be able to be your own boss and make your own business decisions? This may be the perfect time to start an online work-at-home business. I spent over 40 years getting up bright and early in the morning and traveling to work 5 sometimes 7 days a week. Since I retired I've been working from home and I love it!

There are five satisfaction factors that I feel you should look at before you begin any work-at-home business venture. These factors can increase your satisfaction of working online at home.

1. Rhythm - Are you a morning person or do you get more energetic in the afternoons? Some of us are total night owls, it's quiet and there are no distractions. I myself after all of the years of getting up early am now sometimes working until 5am because it's just become a productive time for me. So plan your work schedule so that you can work when you are most likely to be at your best.

2. Flexibility - Think before making decisions and without having to wait for the red tape machine to approve them. Be on top of the ball rather than behind it. You will learn to think ahead as this is so important and can earn you, or cost you, a lot of money. You need to be flexible and be able to change course from time to time. If somethings not working for you consider your options and always be patient and ready to consider making a change.

3. Authenticity - Set your own goals and be authentic in creating them. Don't use someone else's "been done" ideas and understand clearly why you decided on them. Authentic goals are ones you can really own yourself and be proud of. When you are happy, your business will benefit.

4. Strengths - Do you know what your strengths are? If not, there is a self-assessment exercise out there that can help you identify what your strengths are. Martin E.P. Seligman, Ph.D., a pioneer in the field of positive psychology, offers a self-assessment exercise to determine your personal strengths from a list of 24 personality traits. You can find the VIA Signature Strengths Questionnaire online at his website, authentichappiness.org. Plan to utilize the strengths you have in your business.

5. Purpose - When creating a mission for your business, embrace the greater purpose in yourself. In considering online work or at-home work, take the time to understand your passion and how you can tie it to a purpose. If you are passionate about the ways in which your business can impact the general public, you will have something you can do for a long time.

One of the advantages of working from home is, well, being home. It's so convenient, yet it also means that you don't cross paths with too many other people during the day. You should consider your network and associations with other people. We do need a certain amount of face to face interaction and not just live inside the computer. Your network is the life's blood of your business. Connect with others, learn and share with them. Your network can create a steady stream of prospects for your at-home business.

Virtual networking is a great way to increase your network and thus, your business prospects. Social media offers many ways to gain traffic to your site. There are thousands of social sites on the web. But most experts advise to limit yourself to three at most, so make it Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Facebook - Create a fan page on Facebook then join groups that have a similar mindset as you. If you are trying to gain affiliates for a program you have started or even subscribers to a newsletter, join the groups that are working from home, earning money at home, home based businesses, etc. Be sure when you join them that they have a large membership (10,000 or more). You can then share your ads, posts, etc. with a large number of people and get some hits on your page and website.

Twitter - Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that keeps people connected from their computer or phone. Twitter seems counter-intuitive. How can you network using only 140 characters at a time? One tax preparer added Twitter to his daily tasks and started tweeting about tax issues about once a day. He gained 7000 followers that were interested in his tax postings.

LinkedIn - Over 55 million professionals use LinkedIn.com, often for job hunting. It's also a useful networking platform for home-based business owners. You use this platform to position yourself as an expert in your field. Ask and answer questions, post events, and it will help you become the authority on your subject or niche.

Starting a conversation on a social media platform is somewhat different from starting one in person. You must have engaging content to create a loyal following. Get people interested in what you have to offer and be sure that it is useful to the reader.

Evaluate your business idea. Don't fall so in love with your idea that you skip necessary steps to validate your idea. Do testing on your topic and see if you can generate interest in that topic. A-B email tests are a great way to accomplish this goal. Test two different emails with different ideas and see which generates the most clicks, etc.

There are still many companies that age discriminate even though it's against the law. Sell your age as an advantage. After all, you have experience, are loyal, responsible, and a hard worker. You still have traits that any employer would value - just sell them on you!

Working online and at home can be a very good way to continue to work even though you don't want the downfalls of corporate America. Many older Americans are just tired of the rat race and the long, tiring commute. If all of this is what you are trying to avoid, then a home-based business that you can work online may be just what the doctor ordered.

Working at home allows you the flexibility to work when you feel like it and not when you don't. So, if your health or stamina is a consideration, working at home can be a Godsend for you. Being able to sit in a chair or lay on your bed to do work, not to mention dressing any way you want and if you want, can alleviate health constraints for many workers that are not able to do the commute thing anymore.

You should choose when to work, how to work, and even what your business niche is before you get going on the project of your dreams. Choose what to wear, how to wear it, and if you wear it at all. Working at home is fast becoming a leader in the over 50 age group's career choice and may soon be the main way to be gainfully employed over 50.

Did you know that you can quickly and easily learn how to make your own professional looking websites and set up your own online business? You can have your own platform to start and run your business whether it be marketing sales or if you want to reach the world with your message or cause.

Changing careers in your 40s can be scary; you have already put a number of years into the corporate world. However, if you decide that you are ready to make a change, you should not be afraid. You are far from alone in your desire to move to the virtual employment world. There are many options to choose from that put you in control of how you spend your work day.

Another thing you can see, making money from home is becoming more widespread than you would have thought. The online job market has become an excellent opportunity for the over 50 year old workers. The latest data shows the unemployment rate for those over age 55 stands at a much lower rate when compared with the rate of the total population.

What Is Bitcoin and Is It a Good Investment?

Bitcoin (BTC) is a new kind of digital currency-with cryptographic keys-that is decentralized to a network of computers used by users and miners around the world and is not controlled by a single organization or government.

It is the first digital cryptocurrency that has gained the public's attention and is accepted by a growing number of merchants. Like other currencies, users can use the digital currency to buy goods and services online as well as in some physical stores that accept it as a form of payment. Currency traders can also trade Bitcoins in Bitcoin exchanges.

There are several major differences between Bitcoin and traditional currencies (e.g. U.S. dollar):

Bitcoin does not have a centralized authority or clearing house (e.g. government, central bank, MasterCard or Visa network). The peer-to-peer payment network is managed by users and miners around the world. The currency is anonymously transferred directly between users through the internet without going through a clearing house. This means that transaction fees are much lower.

Bitcoin is created through a process called "Bitcoin mining". Miners around the world use mining software and computers to solve complex bitcoin algorithms and to approve Bitcoin transactions. They are awarded with transaction fees and new Bitcoins generated from solving Bitcoin algorithms.
There is a limited amount of Bitcoins in circulation.

According to Blockchain, there were about 12.1 million in circulation as of Dec. 20, 2013. The difficulty to mine Bitcoins (solve algorithms) becomes harder as more Bitcoins are generated, and the maximum amount in circulation is capped at 21 million. The limit will not be reached until approximately the year 2140. This makes Bitcoins more valuable as more people use them.

A public ledger called 'Blockchain' records all Bitcoin transactions and shows each Bitcoin owner's respective holdings. Anyone can access the public ledger to verify transactions. This makes the digital currency more transparent and predictable. More importantly, the transparency prevents fraud and double spending of the same Bitcoins.

The digital currency can be acquired through Bitcoin mining or Bitcoin exchanges.
The digital currency is accepted by a limited number of merchants on the web and in some brick-and-mortar retailers.

Bitcoin wallets (similar to PayPal accounts) are used for storing Bitcoins, private keys and public addresses as well as for anonymously transferring Bitcoins between users.

Bitcoins are not insured and are not protected by government agencies. Hence, they cannot be recovered if the secret keys are stolen by a hacker or lost to a failed hard drive, or due to the closure of a Bitcoin exchange. If the secret keys are lost, the associated Bitcoins cannot be recovered and would be out of circulation. Visit this link for an FAQ on Bitcoins.

I believe that Bitcoin will gain more acceptance from the public because users can remain anonymous while buying goods and services online, transactions fees are much lower than credit card payment networks; the public ledger is accessible by anyone, which can be used to prevent fraud; the currency supply is capped at 21 million, and the payment network is operated by users and miners instead of a central authority.

However, I do not think that it is a great investment vehicle because it is extremely volatile and is not very stable. For example, the bitcoin price grew from around $14 to a peak of $1,200 USD this year before dropping to $632 per BTC at the time of writing.

Bitcoin surged this year because investors speculated that the currency would gain wider acceptance and that it would increase in price. The currency plunged 50% in December because BTC China (China's largest Bitcoin operator) announced that it could no longer accept new deposits due to government regulations. And according to Bloomberg, the Chinese central bank barred financial institutions and payment companies from handling bitcoin transactions.

Bitcoin will likely gain more public acceptance over time, but its price is extremely volatile and very sensitive to news-such as government regulations and restrictions-that could negatively impact the currency.

Therefore, I do not suggest investors to invest in Bitcoins unless they were purchased at a less than $10 USD per BTC because this would allow for a much larger margin of safety.

Otherwise, I believe that it is much better to invest in stocks that have strong fundamentals, as well as great business prospects and management teams because the underlying companies have intrinsic values and are more predictable.

Disclosure: Victor Liang has has no positions in Bitcoins and has no plans to change his position in the next 72 hours.

How To Create Your Wealth Empire From Scratch

Decide to be Rich and Successful!

Many great minds that would have been successful in life have sadly ended up dying with their gifts. They never become successful. They never had it big. They were never recognized, honored and celebrated. No, not before they died. This is because people value and honor you for what you do or did with your gifts, talents and not for how many talents you've got but never used.

This means a talented man can die a wretched man if he fails to put those talents and gifts to work and translate them into personal success.

One key enemy of success in life is procrastination. Procastinators never achieve much in life. It's not that they don't have the talents, the gifts, the abilities. It's not that they don't desire to be successful in life. But that they never come to a definite decision to be really successful in life. They just keep postponing making important decisions in their lives. And as the old saying goes "time waits for no man" they eventually run out of time. It is so difficult to redeem back lost time. That is why it is very important to make the right decision at the right time. Once a definite decision has been reached the others begin to fall into place as well. We become more sensitive and committed to the responsibilities that lie ahead of us.

It is one thing to desire success yet another thing to actually and definitely decide to be successful. Reaching that definite decision is as important as in initially desiring to be successful.

A definite decision to succeed goes hand in hand with the desire to succeed in life. A definite decision convinces you it is no-retreat-no- surrender. You've made the decision and it stays that way. And you are going to keep doing all it takes to reach that end.

Yes, this is true because a decision is a choice or judgment that you make after thinking and /or talking about what is the best thing to do with regards to a definite, specific situation.

Everybody desires success but not everybody goes that extra mile of making a definite decision they can live up to and benefit from immensely. Until you really, sincerely decide to be successful in life, in your discipline, you would only remain like a log floating atop a river driven anywhere the current leads.

A definite decision is like an honest vow. You cannot afford to turn your back against it. The consequences of your turning away from it will be gruesome. And you don't what that to happen to you. No, you only want the best things of life and not the worst things, so you hold on to your vow, you remain bound by it from the moment you made that vow - that definite decision to be successful in life.

And because you are bound by it, it becomes a life-lasting and life-changing decision. And the reward for making a decision like this - to be successful, is becoming successful indeed, eventually.

A popular anonymous saying go - "Nothing in the world is more common than unsuccessful people with talent" How true is this saying. When you properly examine many unsuccessful people, you get to discover there are wells of 'success-creating-talents' buried deep within them.

The problem could only be their inability of making a definite decision - one as strong as a vow, a covenant, that could spur them on to harnessing all other secrets of success, such as exposed in this book in other for them to eventually become successful. Without such definite decision made in your life, before it is too late, I am afraid procrastination and fear will only end up swallowing up your talents and make a mockery out of your life.
